and i still reckon the relationship between alonso and massa is badly cracked, and so is vettel and webbers, as a result the mclaren boys could cash in

They were 'cracked' last yr as well......
The most "harmonious" was at Mclaren and they finished behind the cracked drivers, except Massa who had a terrible season that had nothing to do with his relationship being craked. I think people take these drivers and teams for kids, and F1 for a school picnic.

yes true in the drivers, but mclaren finished second to a team who had the fastest car as we know, but RB nearly screwed it by this in fighting, where as jenson and lewis were happy with each other off the circuit, but prepared to battle fair on it when the situation arose (turkey springs to mind)

Massa was absent. Nothing to do with his relationship with Alonso.

The mclaren fellas' relation seemed good and happy enough, but not in Turkey (or anywhere Jenson got the best of Lewis), unless you missed Lewis' pout on the turkey conference. I dont think they looked prepared to battle it out on on track, as it took some team messages to "control" the situation. I think he likes the drama and to have these sort of things discussed in public rather than in private; you can tell by his choice for management.

You know you make it sound like such an excuse every time you say Massa was absent. He wasnt absent at all, infact if he were allowed to win Germany who knows what would have happened. Its a poor argument you have there.

to any non Hamilton hater observer he was pissed off at Turkey because he turned his engine down by the teams orders to conserve fuel, only for Jenson to not have his turned down allowing him to catch up and make a move for P1.
Id imagine every driver on the grid would have done the same thing - been pissed off.

I think yours is poorer.... we all saw what HAPPENED after Germany, no need for ifs of woulds. And we're talking about constructors points (ie Mclaren finishing behind Red Bull) which mean the same with or without Germany.

yeah well he was pretty absent in first place in Germany hey... and knowing you arent allowed to win a race with 10 races still to go, would you be arsed ? f*** pulling over for my team mate every chance the team got.

Would he still be absent his yr, knowing team orders are allowed??
if so, then he's absent in much more ways than just his form from last yr.

Like i said he wasnt absent at Germany and I dont care who you are you cannot discount the power that confidence plays in ones performances across all sports and aspects of life even.

To me it just sounds like a poor excuse to back up ones favourite driver in an attempt to make the situation appear just and right. IF it helps you sleep at night whatever mate.

One race in a season isn't being present.

To me it looked like a good strategy to try and get the guy with the most reasonable possibility of mounting a challenge, that was on the brink of being lost.
Nothing more nothing less.

That pic made me laugh in its context, but made me cry a lil' bit. Good grief, an F1. :(

Please drop this we don't need to have these same arguments about team orders all over again, especially given that it's completely off topic for this thread. I don't want to see a thread on such an important subject locked... but this is your only warning to get it back on topic. Thanks!
