A couple excerpts from the ESPNF1 article:

"Lewis is a great driver," he said. "He's a former world champion. He's one of the best that there is. And he's not going to be happy if he has another barren year. But that's not to say that we're looking for [him] to come to our team. We're very happy with the two drivers that we currently have."

Asked whether Red Bull could handle a Vettel-Hamilton combination, Horner said: "You would certainly envisage it being quite a busy partnership, but you can never rule it out. From my perspective you always want to have the best two drivers."

So he's managed by the same company that manages the Spice Girls, that's brilliant...

Managing companies will take on anyone they think is able to make them millions from their 10% cut.

Yup. Money grabbing thieves in my view!

He probably split with his dad because he got sick of people on forums taking the piss. I think its a shame, his dad did well by him. I could never understand the antagonism towards his dad from other people. No one will ever look out for him as well as his dad did. But I can see the other side, he needed to become his own person. Difficult decision though.

Agreed, except for the part about people like us on net forums, i doubt the drivers even know let alone care... but anyway, like i say i completely agree about Anthony Hamilton. Hell, i still go to my Dad a lot for advice and know i'm far better off for it, so i don't see any shame in that respect. I know Hamilton is in a very different situation (duh!) but it's still the same in that your parents always have your back, unlike these management companies who are at the end of the day are only doing it for money.

I can see the argument for getting someone in who has more experience in 'managing' people in some situations (ie negotiating with potential drives and getting the best car available) but Hamilton doesn't have that problem cause let's face it he's surely at McLaren for the long term, and he's certainly got enough cash going on already at over $20m a year income...

I'm certain Lewis still bounces all idea's off his dad as it should be, they are still a team and always will be. :)

:whip: The usual PR bull to do with Vettel's new contract i'd assume... but to be honest, i think any of the truly top tier drivers would be mad to go to Red Bull as a long term project, i can only honestly see them lasting right at the front as long as Newey is there.

Also why does Lewis really need a manager, it is not as if Mclaren are going to release him at any time!!

To negotiate endorsement deals.

Like Jenson's cringe-inducing Head & Shoulder's ad.

shameful but I love the ad, i bought head and shoulders because he was on the ad

Good ad

P.S - I now have a sweep over just like JB in the add :hehe:

I make sure I stay away because he's in it. :hehe:

Anyway glad Lewis has sorted this out, hopefully Xix keeps him from hooning on Australian roads from now on.
