good, now kobayashi has a shot at massas seat.

No, he's best suited for Alonso's, Kubica in Massa's seat. If Kubica is still injured, Badoer can fill in.

when kubicas made half the impression kobayashis made he can have it, let the mediocre polish drivers stick to the midfield teams, give kobayashi a top seat.

Vettel's place is in Red Bull! At least for the next 4 or 5 years...

Question is how long will Newey stay? I'll believe it (SB signing till '14) when it happens instead of speculating.

What reason would he leave?

Boredom.

Kubica's had some great drives! Anyway, we're giving him Massa's seat, not like thats stiff competition is it?

I love Kobayashi but I don't think you can say he did better than Kubica. Putting the Sauber in q3 vs Renault on the front row is a bit of a toss up. Kobayashi needs a year or two more really before a big team would sign him I think.

Although were there many instances of him finishing lower than his qualy? No having the sauber's engine go kablooie or the front wing dropping off doesn't count.

IMO the doubts over Kubica's form after his accident will be a big, if unfortunate boost for other midfield drivers looking to move to top teams.

Back on the original topic if I were Vettel I would look at getting a contractual clause that reopens the contract if Newey ever leaves. As rare as top calibre drivers are, the 2nd, 3rd 4th etc in the best car are still a better shot at a championship. Not to say Vettel either is or isnt that driver.

Madness. Kubica could easily by all rights have won 3 races by now (China '07 mechanical problem while leading by a fair way, Monaco '08 screwed by safety car). Also, ffs, last year in Monaco he qualified on the front row and finished on the podium, on merit, in THE 5TH BEST CAR! Last season, at every circuit where the driver can make all the difference, he delivered convincingly. And if you wanna talk taking the sport by storm, in his 3rd ever F1 race he stuck it on the podium, in a car that was a definite midfield runner.

Nah, it's called creating a reasonable debate, but it's very condescending and laughable of you to try and claim that. I stand by what i say, an opinion derived from watching the guy race in F1 over the last 4 1/2 years. I don't recall my mentioning or comparison of any other driver apart from Kobayashi either...

You're joking right? Kobayashi proved he can be quite consistent (in a few races in 1 whole season) and can make some daring overtaking moves.

Kubica proved he can be consistently fast in every race of the season and get the most out of a car all the time. Not saying Koba has reached his potential, I think he's very far from it. But at this stage...Koba better than Kubi? :bs:

Agree, F1 is an amazing sport. I love it how speculation starts, you start to believe, then not believe? Then it happens. For instance Schumi returning? Or Alonso moving to Ferrari.
