both sauber and ferrari did a one lap qualifying sim and perez toppde massa by .3 of a second.......

Wow, Sauber a third of a second faster than the Ferrari when both in the same qualifying trim.

Gee, I'd better put myself in that boat with the panicked Macca fans, or maybe I should just start thinking about 2012.

I'm definitely gonna keep bringing back this "Perez is 1/3 second faster Felipe" quote over the course of the year

How did i know some nonce would get all sarcastic at what i said. how did i f*cking know?!

Its alright saying that we know red bull and ferrari are top from testing times, when we dont even know when their exactly on the same fuel, but we finally do get information that says they were both on a single qualifying run, and perez was quicker, it means jack s*it. funny that aint it, didnt expect less from a tifosi though. I gave you a tidbit of information, not the trend set for the rest of the year!

Clear to see that despite your numerous intelligent posts your common sense still lacks.

touchy :hehe:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 420677.stm,
BBC pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz: "Some more news on exhausts. Red Bull and Ferrari have gone for directing their exhausts as far back as possible, while Renault have tidied up their system for the Barcelona test, while retaining the unique exits right at the front of their sidepods. Mercedes, meanwhile, have gone for a halfway measure with exhausts that exit right in the middle of the outer body of their sidepods. They've had to put a metal turning vane on top of the floor to guide the exhaust gas to where they want it. But it's still more of a 2010-style solution rather than the more integrated system used by Red Bull and Ferrari."

BBC Sport's Andrew Benson: "There's a fascinating feature by Mark Hughes in Autosport magazine this week about the impact of Pirelli's arrival in F1 with their (deliberately) fast-degrading tyres, and how strategy and tyre management will be critical this year. Most fascinatingly, Hughes has analysed the testing times prior to this latest test and comes to a tantalising conclusion. On one-lap pace, Ferrari and Red Bull are evenly matched and well ahead of Renault and Williams. But on long runs, Ferrari are on top, ahead of Red Bull and Williams."

It will be interesting to see, say redbull faster on quali and Ferrari better over long runs, so redbull line up 1-2, but eventually the Ferrari cars close in and they try and counter each other - say redbull going for a late race pitstop on fresh tyres and Ferrari hoping to out last them.

Wonder how many laps that took? That's ridiculous!

The other tyres look ok, and, if you look closely at the front wing (back part) closest bit to where the tyre came apart you can see damage. Looks like some pieces of that wing ripped into the tyre?

Nope, that's the result of tyre splatter hitting the wing!

You meant the tire ripping into the wing right as it is very apparent what happened atleast too me.

Possibly but its usually the other way around, ie tyre strips damage body work. The tyre looks like it's disintegrated to me.

Beaten to it lol
