Schumi can easily come back and Age is defo not a factor just look at Fangio who won the 57 title at the age of 46

Back then racing wasn't as athletic as it is today...

How come he quit the sport early in a competitive McLaren car then?.How are those apples tasting my friend?

haha mate i love apples actually theyre my favourite fruit! keep em coming! 8) but dont get your knickers in a twist, my mums from Glasgow, i know what pisses Scots off ;) now how about them British Lions?

Quitting a form of motoracing and going to race in another form would surely make the statement retiring cos he is scared a idiotic comment wouldnt it? if anything F1 cars are safer than a touring car even back 5 or 7 years ago! so Mika going to race in DTM was a dangerous move!

Don't make me laugh, the competition is nowhere near the level in touring than F1.Hakkinen quit when the going got tough

I'd say that as Hak had been crowned F1 WDC there is no higher pedestal to stand on so went off for a new challenge. Seeing as he had probably built up a good rapport with Mercedes it made sense to go to DTM, where there is very tight races. More of a challenge for someone that is a true racer, not retiring to sit on a pit wall and do the occasional PR stunt.

wow its Scotland day!

in the last couple of e-mails Ron I've tolerated references to being from another country. There is no place on this forum for that sort of behaviour it should be a universal site but if you want to spout stuff like that then may I remind you that on Saturday afternoon the Scottish football team require to beat the world champions Italy in Scotland to qualify for the Euro 2008 championships whereas England's qualifying hopes are all but gone. How do you like dem apples sonny jim?

my comment was merely an observation that there were a lot of Scots on. There was no deregatory comments.

If you are looking for a fight, I suggest a local bar in a poor area of your city.

Who mentioned anything about a fight? I was merely making an observation that you kept referring to national identities. When I respond to a comment I don't usually take note of a person's nationality, I observe their name and their point and answer appropriatley.Although observing your comments about "looking for a fight in a local bar in a poor area of my city" leads me to think I am dealing with an infant or someone who isn't the smartest tool in the shed. The latter seems more inevitable.Whatever the circumstance , it's of very poor taste kid
