They are the main contenders, and still good friends, so, it's going to be tough... I think that Liuzzi has more chance...

neh Klien isn't a bad driver, Luizzi? HA!

Reading the latest news.......I recon Christian Klien has the better chance than ex-team mate Vitantonio Liuzzi.
Klien has had more experience in the 2010 Car and helped to close in the gap to the other "new teams" Towards the end of the season.
But if it's neither of them then we could have a new debutant on our hands to see if he's worthy enough of F1.
My guesses are that the team will test a couple of drivers in the last test at Barcelona and then announce 2-3days later on who will race for them. :)

whatever the choice that HRT have is that they better pick the fastest driver because if red bull or ferrari are super quick in quali trim HRT could be struggling to make the 107% rule and not compete in the races on sunday.

It has to be between Luizzi and Klien. Don't go getting slow pay drivers HRT or run the risk of not racing on sunday.

It just proves that Klien is a shitty driver. Any driver that WANTS to drive for HRT doesn't value his career.

Agree he has gone down hill since his drive @ RBR. he has become desperate, if he stayed there? Or tried to keep them on side he could be a reserve driver for RBR which ain't bad?

because lets face it some drivers just suit test role, Like Pedrosa...Some test drivers can come up to the mark like Di resta? Or Alonso...He is just lost.

I think you're being too harsh on Klien. After leaving Red Bull, he spent 3 seasons as a test driver. Now he finally found himself in a team where he can drive. Yes, it's a bad team, but a bad drive is still better than no drive at all in most cases; a racing driver wants to drive, if they don't drive, they lose their edge (eg: Badoer, Wurz... even Schumacher!). He would never go back to Red Bull, even if he wanted - they have tons of drivers coming out of their academy and, well, he's not good enough for Red Bull. So I don't think he's being "desperate", I think he's being realistic - his choice is between HRT or leaving F1 altogether.

I hope he gets the drive. Good luck Chris!

if in any case F1 had no seats go DTM? Indy Car? i can think of so many better places to go, You don't see Kimi or Juan wanting to come back? Sometimes F1 is over rated.

I wonder if Red Bull racing got this much hatred for being new in 2005.:rolleyes: Is there no chance they can grow?

It's not hatred for being new, it's hatred for being such a mess. Lola, Prodrive and Epsilon Euskadi are all highly professional organisations and all had facilities in-place, being more prepared for an F1 entry, yet they were turned down for Campos who are now proving to be a bit of a joke.

Ah but just because those organisations are more established racing wise does that really mean they could produce a mid-pack or even better F1 car? They would still be newbies and to assume they would be better is abit presumptuous imho. Would their learning curve be any different, I think not.
