Michael Schumacher dominated the third and final practice session ahead of qualifying recording a best lap of 1:30.653s, beating the exiting track record of 1:31.540s recorded in the race last year by Kimi Raikkonen. Such was the pace of the Bridgestone-shod Ferrari, Schumacher stopped the clocks a massive 1.2 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.
