To me that would be a huge risk. You go through a major part of the season knowing you will get zero points for him because he isnt there and then when he does come back assuming he is going to be on the top of his game, and even if he is, he didn't do exactly off the charts in 2010. He's a Class A driver that is for sure, but I don't see him being as good as he was right way. I do hope he comes back though.

No kidding? Hmm maybe they updated it afterall. He wasn't in the list when I created the team. But nvm...I have faith in my selections. More than the new McLaren anyway...

Here's where we stand on this currently... come on, we can do better than this. See a member you don't particularly "care" for and what to beat them where it counts? Want to earn the prize of a custom description under your name (usually only reserved for members with 10k posts) Come on... even Mods don't have that privilege. There's at least 10 members I can name that should be here but aren't. I wonder why that would be?

It takes 5 minutes to register and create a team.... the reward is a lifetime of glory! Or at least bragging rights here for an entire off season.

I chose lewis vettel, lotus, cosworth.


So say after qualifiers, if lewis got 4th, and seb got 1st, and then say barichello got 8th, and the two lotues got 4th and 5th.

Does that mean then I get points for:

Lewis placing 4th
seb placing 1st
cosworth (I think williams runs cosworths) for barichello getting 8th
then what ever the drivers for lotus placed I add the numbers under "team" to my total?

The scoring is a little confusing but it's there under the instructions... basically you get the driver's points whereever they finish.. for both qualifying and race, plus a bonus if they happen to get fast lap. So 30 for P1 in Q, 60 for P1 in race and and additional 25 if they happened to also get the fastest lap so for Seb getting all three the max would be 115 points. Apply the same rule for Lewis if he Q'd 4th but finished 2nd. he'd get 19 + 45. Same thing for the car. But times the number of applicable slots. So two for the chassis and however many for the engines.

So Mercedes would apply to Mercedes, Force India, McLaren... Ferrari would apply to Ferrari, STR and Sauber, Renault would apply to Renault, RB and Lotus. Cosworth would apply to Williams, Virgin and HRT.

I've taken a good look at all those generous enough to show their 'strategy' beforehand...and am prepared to just 'sandbag' and say 'May the best team win'.
