Sad pet news. One of my guinea pigs just died . I fetched them back from the lady who looked after them while I was away and she said Lewis was a bit off colour the last day or so . He was very listless, his breathing became laboured and he just died. Now Mclaren is alone and they were brothers, together from birth, so he's going to need lots of cuddles. I feel bad I was away because id have noticed something was wrong and got him to the vet.

Sorry too hear that RC as a pet is a pet no matter what species . On another note get another one asap and name it Ferrari so you can have a McLaren/Ferrari battle even in the off-season or name the pup's some obscure rendition of the two, just a thought.

It seems a bit disrespectful to just replace lewis with a new one. I'll see how Mclaren goes on his own. I'll have to get him out for more cuddles. And there may well be wars if a new male is introduced. It was ok with Lewis and Mclaren because they were brothers and always together.

Lewis and McLaren!? Wow...so the one alive is much much bigger than the one that died I presume?

Anyway, my condolences. I had a pair of guinea's as well when younger and they both died after a while. My stupid mistake, leaving the cleaned cage out in the yard to dry...and the afternoon sun was out. I felt terrible, but at least you're not to be blamed for Lewis.

Yeah I would let him outside but he never went far, last time I saw him I was at my friends about 2 blocks away and I stepped outside to talk on the phone and there he was . He is running with a pack I was told but I expect too see him again. Still got my putty tat though.
