I posted something like this before, but, I think it bears saying again. I'm so looking forward to Felipe winning and Ferrari not ordering him to move over and let Alonso past. I doubt many will come out and apologise or admit they were wrong - but it will still be very satisfying for me.

Umm...How does them not doing it at some hypothetical future event, when it's not against the rules, make those of us who are critical of them for having already done it, when it in fact was illegal, wrong and need to apologise?

I don't have a problem with anyone who objects to team orders. That's your prerogative. It was illegal last year and Ferrari got punished for it. Just like speeding behind a safety car is illegal and gets punished, normally 25 seconds or a drive-through, sometimes extra lightly - 5 seconds. I don't have any beef with any of those. If its a crime you do the time.

My point is about those who claim that Ferrari have Alonso as the number one in all considerations Ferrari. And likewise those that insist Alonso will always make himself and be number one in Ferrari at every point in time. When Felipe wins (and I sincerely hope he does it and does it often), I will wait to see those people's reactions.

I agree with bud and when I saw that I as :censored::censored: !! That kinda crap should not have happen in F1 especially on the pit entrance crossing the 'SOLID WHITE LINE' which is I believe is an infraction of the rules (maybe now but not then but that does not mean it was right or even SMART).

I do NOT in any way support Alonso so I'm torn when it comes too results :( ?!?!?!

If the rules state no speeding in the pitlane and no overtaking in the pitlane do they both apply to the same area of tarmac?
If yes and since the pit crew was ready with alonsos tyres then the smart thing to do was for alonso to get in front. As far as I can see, anyone claiming it was massas pitstop has to explain why the pit crew were ready with alonsos tyres as there would have been action taken if they put massas tyres onto alonsos car.

You keep saying that but i dont know where you got it from, Why would Ferrari have Alonsos tyres ready if Massa was in front? Usually teams pit the guy infront first not the guy coming behind him.

And if that was so why didnt Massa pull aside for Alonso? Im sorry but I do not believe it, its illogical.
Fernando Alonso has sidestepped questions about allegations that he tried to "sabotage" Lewis Hamilton during his season at McLaren.

A recently published biography about Bernie Ecclestone has brought Alonso's acrimonious year at the Woking-based team back into the spotlight.

According to The Star, Tom Bowers' book "No Angel: The Secret Life Of Bernie Ecclestone" reveals that the Spaniard asked former team boss Ron Dennis to short-fuel Hamilton's car for the 2007 Hungarian Grand Prix so that the Brit would run out of fuel and fail to finish the race.

When Spain's AS newspaper asked him for his thoughts on the allegations, Alonso replied: "I do not know, each person tries to do their job. In principle the Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull drivers are the favourites."

If you watch the season review you will hear Massa over the radio shouting at the team to switch the tyres around, Alonso overtook me. So the team scrambled to switch the tyres around, which they managed to do in time.

If you re-watch the reviews after the race you will see Massa openly admit to it being his fault that he got tons of wheel spin out of the last corner and Alonso got the jump on him and he would have done the same thing had it been the other way around.

It helps when you know what you are talking about.

Ok so lets just push aside the fact im not as cool as you to have watched the season review why would Massa shout "Alonso overtook me" and then "Switch the tyres" by the sounds of it the team had Massa's tyres ready he yells out switch the tyres Alonso overtook me. Correct?

Thats just proven my point. Thanks Jonny Guitar!

Ok, my mistake then, sorry. They must've got massas tyres out the way and alonsos out their blankets pretty quickly then.

That was what I was trying to do. Prove the correct point.

So pretty nasty then, knowing he was going to make his team mate who had been in front of him wait in line.

When Spain's AS newspaper asked him for his thoughts on the allegations, Alonso replied: "I do not know, each person tries to do their job. In principle the Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull drivers are the favourites."

HAHAHAHA!! That's like someone asking me if I like apples or oranges, and I answer "Yes I love my job".

What an absolute dou***. I'd go as far as to say Michael has more honour left than him.

Schumi would at least have had the decency to tell the pitwall he'd decided what the pitstops will be.

That's pretty unreasonable, I don't see how you can possibly claim that Ferrari don't favour Alonso, nor do I really buy it that Mass getting a win proves otherwise. Barrichello won races at the Scuderia, and the team at the time was the Schumi machine. Likewise, DC won races at McLaren, and Ron Dennis barely even treated him like he was in the same team. Nobody says there are not exceptions where the number two is allowed some glory, but so far Ferrari have done nothing to portray Massa as anything more than Alonso's water-carrier. People shouldn't be asked to apologise for reacting to a clear trend.

that clearly isn't right is it! wait lol you think he actually said that...like that...really? if you can't spot a blatantly obvious miscommunication like that then you should book yourself in for an idiocy test

Specially when comparing your avatars.....

The reason the team had Alonso's tires so quickly is because it was his pitstop. So they had his tires and pit stop ready already. Massa only pitted because there was a SC that got deployed, obviously, the team had his gear ready as well. On top of that, Massa allegedly hit the wheelspin thing and things got scrambled so the order of pits got changed.
