What would your F1 change? Time to get a fun thread up, too many uber serious ones going on :D:clap::thumbup:

I would bring back long sweeping corners that put you going around it at 190+ mph.

I would allow ABS to encourage late breaking.

I would allow turbo charged or supercharged v6s/v8s/v10s/v12s...

I would allow KERS

Allow more than one tire company to produce tires.

I would award 10 points to the fastest lap.

I would award 1 extra point for every race you win after the first in a row.

I would award 2 extra points for every time you overtake someone that was NOT from the result of a pit stop.

I would award 25 Constructors points to the fastest pit stop.

I would do away with as many green run off areas as possible, add many more sand traps/gravel pits as well as harsh bumps if you try to cut corners.

No limiting of Reps Per MInute

Salary Caps, but the teams put forth a given amount that is then awarded in descending amounts for the top 10 to each driver as a prize.

Rather than asking so much money from particular countries or cities to host f1, ask they meet strict safety requirements (emts, life line choppers ect), in place of a portion of such high dollar amounts.

I don't know how realistic this stuff could be, but its what I would do :) How about you?

Great one!

I liked few ideas you've posted:
Tyres
Turbo engines
Points for fastest lap and overtaking, but not so much for the first ;)
No limit on RPM...

Ban team orders and enforce it

Drop Catalunya, Valencia, Bahrain, Abu Dahbi

Have at least two tyre suppliers

Allow car designers more freedom. Limit only aero downforce.

Stop with the silly rules that penalise drivers for racing.

Limit FIA powers to prevent power crazed dictators using the organisation for personal vendettas and such like

No more than two new tracks to be designed by the same person and all teams and drivers to have a say in the design

Take money from Bernie and use it to cut entry prices to GP's, to help new teams get established and to help fund young drivers

Allow testing

Always start the season in Australia

Televise testing

Any type/config/disp engine, turbo/supercharged, turbine, or whatever else (drive must be through wheels, FWD,RWD,4WD allowed)

Any type of transmission

Any make of tyre (some max/min dimensions) four wheels per car. no restrictions on tyre change pitstops

Zero downforce

Active suspension

Any energy recovery system(s) (uncharged at start of race) no capacity or usage restrictions

Open wheel, open cockpit, car must fit inside specified virtual boxes

Min. weight as is now

Fuel - any type, limited to 4GJ energy per race - no refueling

Qualifying - 1hr to set at least 3 runs, each run = out lap + 1 hot lap + in lap, position set by average of best 3 hot laps
any drivers only completing 2 hot laps ranked against each other behind those who completed 3 hot laps, similarly for only 1 hot lap.

:nono: Leave quali alone - it's cool as it is!

Engine size only engine limit. One size for turbo bigger size for non-turbo.

Refueling

Unlimited testing

Zero financial caps

Team first rule - full team strategies and orders. Teams to be interviewed and their strategies to be openly discussed after so fans can learn and appreciate what's going on.

No pay-drivers

Points 10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 (no points for anything else)

For this year unrestricted use of MRW, then banned next year

Ground effects back but with safety additions for "lift off" to be worked on collectively and implemented as part of homolgation

No KERS restrictions

No weight distribution rules

20-24 races per year but some to be 2 day events. 4 -5 rotational in Aisa-Pacific 5-6 in Americas balance in Europe.

Immediately bring back Imola, A1-Ring and Magny-Cours

Enshrine Monza, Spa, Monaco and Silverstone as compulsory events

Spend money on making F1 accessible to average income earners. Plentiful cheap tickets in good sections.

Drivers and teams to be accessible to average fans at events.

1. Sell it to the teams.
2. Like Spanky said: make Monaco, Spa, the old Silverstone... and Imola mandatory.
3. Stop changing rules every so often.
4. More testing, but not unlimited.
5. Budget cap, decided by the teams.

There's more i think, but i'm tired now

V10 Turbos - Rev limited to 20000rpm

Standardised front/rear wings supplied by FIA, rest of car body left to the imagination of the teams (no extra bodywork pieces of course)

Edit all the ABC tracks by replacing all the kiddy runoffs with gravel/grass again

KERS is a requirement. No KERS, no racing - this ensures pretenders can buzz off if they're not serious about the environment

Get rid of drivers who look like sausage Dastardly.

Oh goodie – this is what I would do;

1. Less aerodynamic grip and more mechanical grip – so standard wings front & back, flat bottoms (no rear venturis) .....oh, a split rear wing so that it will rob less downforce from the car behind

2. Either NA or turbo motors – not both, but probably turbo as it seems the way of the future

3. No restrictions on motor capacity OTHER than a fixed amount fuel per race – this should drive motor innovation

4. KERS – again for the sake of innovation

5. Make sure less driver aids are minimised – no traction control, no ABS, no launch control.

6. Ban telemetry during a race – let the drivers race, not the computers

7. Stop this extortion for the “right” to host a race. FSS, pitting cities and circuits against each other will kill the sport

8. Get rid of those dinky new world races unless there is genuine local support

9. Less emphasis on going to a GP as a Corporate event and more focus on the real fans

10. Stop treating the fans as an endless money pit

11. Let the drivers be themselves instead of some mind controlled corporate robots, never to venture forth in public unless they are “on message”

Finally I would ask Bernie for the money back

Start by admitting that I probably couldn't run the whole sport, lol.

But in a perfect world I'd love to see
The old point system, 10-8-6 etc
So much easier to follow. With the new system it's like, Vettel is 7 points ahead of Alonso in the championship. Is that good... is that a big gap or not. Harder to tell.

KERS, no more. It's an irritatingly pointless system. People talked about it way too much 2009. I can only hope its something happening in the background this year.

I don't mind F1 spreading to the middle east. As long as they bring good tracks. It's not as if European is void of some crap races. I'd get rid of Bahrain, Barcelona, Valencia. Give Aragon a try for the Spanish. The rest of the tracks I've no problem with. I'd just want to secure Melbourne, Canada, Spa and Interlagos. Best tracks of the season I think.

As for overtaking, we'll just have to wait and see what 2011 brings won't we all
