I believe that they use the "sourcer" shape to travel through space, com'on guys aero dynamics...

if you had the means a space craft that could travel the speed of light could be a cube in shape!
To travel through space does not require aerodynamics because there is no um air... :hehe:

I dont think they travel in a concept we understand. Point A to point B takes X amount of time at X amount of speed. I believe they have managed to warp the space time continuum to get from point A to B in a matter of seconds.

an interesting person to read up on is Bob Lazar. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Lazar

You dumb arsess.... how may times do you need to hear Capt. Kirk say, ENERGIZE to know that is how we'll be traveling in the future. :hehe:

Teleportation baby... now who wants to go first?

The US owes China and Japan a lot of money, Greece went bankrupt and the italian president hooked up big time..... oh and my country doesnt have oil! :irked: i think we have bigger issues.

WTF does this have too do with the topic??

hmmm I think there is alien life somewhere else, but...There are bigger issues for people to be wasting huge amounts of $ to discover some bugs in outerspace. That seems unreasonable when we have issues here on earth as it is.

Read what DD wrote, its more or less what i mean. But with more complex words. So if TEXMIX works in reverse (as in reading, not just writing) then DD's post probably reads as alien language.....

I understand your concerns but do you know how much usable technology we've gained to serve here on earth by developing technology to search for bugs outside of our big blue marble?

The amount we spend funding that is infinitesimally small when compared to the amount of money we spend on militarization and armament... so you have bigger targets to go after on wasted money/effort than space research. :)

You could say we've taken a lot of technology from military and armament as well......

If that was the case we'd have a USSF (United States Space Force) and we haven't passed that through congress yet.

Filtration, systems, rechargeable batteries, velcro, efficient air conditioning units, solar panels, lightweight alloys, efficient heat shields, ceramics, a laundry list of poly-chemicals, wire ties, and TANG. ;) off the top of my head. TANG!

TANG
that's the winner. Where would we be without it!

I'm sure the list for army stuff would be just as long... but it wouldn't have TANG

No i was just pointing out aerodynamics play no role in space :)

I always wanted to write a thesis on the comparison of Klingons and Romulans to the characteristics of our cold war enemies Russia and China.

Ceramics? What do you mean specifically? (I am interested, not just picking on you, though its fun prodding mods).

Miss placed comma there, :D but ceramics as part of the heat shield of the space shuttle, had never been done before. A lot of the advancements there were responsible for carrying over into things like ceramic turbo spool blades.

like ceramic turbo spool blades.

Well if you wanna get all technical that was a misplaced 'miss placed' there :D . Oh and it's not 'spool blades' they are 'compressor blades' or impellers, just saying lol.
