I think it is interesting for the simple fact that drivers from other series get too experience something new and any racecar driver worth their salt enjoy's such things. Both forms are difficult to extract maximum performance from and hey I'm pretty sure Tony and Lewis will have a great time and thats all that really matters isn't it?

Not really. Lewis and Tony enjoying themselves has absolutely no impact on us at all. I mean, I'm sure Lewis enjoys himself when he's with Nicole Scherzinger. Doesn't mean I care.

How many G's do NASCAR's pull on average on an oval?

By G do you mean the mathematical symbol for the force of gravity or Goobers going to see the race? Then again, 10 of them Goobers could go see a race for the price I paid for my ticket to Montreal.

So when's Lewis driving Tonys car...around his bedtime? Hope he doesn't fall asleep in the car and end up crashing.

Not sure - probably more of these - notice the reassurance 'The size is one size fits most (90-160 lbs)'. Most? 160 lbs? :yikes:

:yawn::yawn: If this thread so boring darwin, then what are you doing replying in it??? LOL...:yawn::yawn:

Guess which one is actually far harder to drive?

Quite a loaded question there. Flame bait as well. :nono:

Anyway, here is my take on it. I grew up with a father who would watch nascar. I would try and watch it as a kid and the only time it was ever interesting to me was when they would crash. Not the greatest start of a fan base for me. After watching 2010's season and some of 1994 and some of 1988, even through all these eras there is the same monotonous droning in both sports.

Given this, you are talking about droning around a course, difference is one is high speed oval one is a series of high speed corners, straights, and sudden low speed bends. I don't doubt nascar takes talent and balls of steel, but I find it hilarious that NASCAR dares to use the word STOCK in their title.

Anyway side from this, I have a question, is this swap for a race? Like Lewis will be in a real race and Stewart will be in a real GP? Or is this just a show off session or like a test? Will it be televised?

is this a serious question

How about lets just wait and see what Lewis thinks instead of thinking for him?

is this a serious question

Yeah it is, I don't know the ins and outs of all this, unless I have overlooked something. I'm all ears :director::thumbup:

No sir it is just a promotional event by their sponsors Mobile1 that lets both drivers experience something new from a different series, maybe actually making the F1 community realize that NASCAR is real racing yet I doubt that will ever happen on this forum.

Welcom to the forum  ,

haha, fair enough

there is no way they'd swap for an actual race.

especially from the F1 side.

I think in NASCAR you get points for completing labs, and there are about 40 races, so that's a bit feasible i suppose

Oh god, now I see what you meant, no I didn't meant like hamilton would take a stock car against f1 cars I meant is he driving a nascar in a nascar race, however after looking closer and noticing there was a link to the story (which I overlooked like a moron lol) it is just a promo thing.)

Don't really care so much about this swap.
I'm looking forward to the Jenson Button/Craig Lowndes swap at Bathurst if it goes ahead.
A F1 car around the Mountain will be interesting and to see JB in a V8supercar go around and attacking the Mountain should be a mouth watering experience
for him more so than the Melbourne GP track he did last year.
