Williams, always.

Kobayashi, Rosberg & Mercedes (NOT SCHUMACHER THOUGH) & whoever drives for Williams, unless it's Nakajima because he was poo.

Country? Italians, I'm not fond of, if they are French I automatically hate them. Not that keen on Germans, or Americans.

I'm a massive bigot so I like who I like & hate who I hate.

I'm not remotely French but what have they done to you? By the sounds of it you dont seem to like anyone else either.

Hey, great to see you back K. Don't sweat the haters, there will always be people who hate, just for the sake of hating.

Possibly a cube was hidden in the wrong place without realizing it is not passed as easily as a......? :hehe:

Well he's an admitted bigot so why not let him be? I thought this is an F1 forum, not a political/racial site to judge anyone.

I thought we were kinda agreeing with what you say. This is an F1 Forum, no a place for Nazi's, KKK'ers or biggots of any type to voice their particular hatred. Let's stick with F1 eh?
#241316
True that. So let's keep the hate to ourselves and move on to the drivers we love to hate. :hehe:

Kidding.

Team or country?

I'm still baffled as to how you managed too extract any political or racial implications from my post Hammer278  ?!?!?!

"There's a strange one in the jungle
Freshen up, freshen up, freshen up."
#241318
I didn't. I was enquiring as to the reasoning behind following up with a bigot-infested post and further ruining this thread with it, instead of moving on. No racial whatever implication laid on your doorstep tex, please get un-baffled! :D

See i knew it,

Half of everyones opening statement is " i dont see why i should support someone from same country",

It just gives me an air of snobbery if you ask me, the fact everyone that falls under the supporting foreigner case had to make that statement is what does it,if that was say one persons attitude, that another might think oh yeah thats true you know.

But it seems its like a pre-anticipated decision aimed at singling yourself our from your peasant countrymen  , sorry but thats just the aura i get from it. Everyone i know that is British and not Mclaren/Lewis/Jenson fan is so jumped up about who they do support, like two F1 fans meet and one says " so whos your fav Lewis or Jens (given that 99 percent of British fans are one or the other)" and you say " oh good heavens no im too much of an expert in F1 to follow the mindless masses".

I follow the best driver in F1 IMO before you start. And he just happens to be British. Which is an added bonus, because anyone without an ego can see the advantages of having almost everyonearound you on the same wavelength, especially at say, silverstone.

Team first, second and third :-)

Happy to be Tifosi and I love being part of something that unique.

Country doesn't enter into it for me.

Appreciate every driver on the grid for getting out there and racing. Some say and do silly things sometimes, but, guess what, so have I. Prefer a driver that shows they're human to a PR-bot.

surely being Italian decent plays into it, Ferrari are all about italy. Infact they are tthe main team that uses nationality in their livery, marketing and promotional work aside from the minnows of force india and hispania

Come on Spanky... the joy goes both ways! The one thing we do have in common is that we both like to defeat a strong team... no fun at all in beating an underwhelming foe.

From my perspective, most people (regardless of nationality) will gravitate to teams that demostrate success. Anywhere I travel here in Asia people support Manchester United/ Liverpool/Chelsea because they are the high profile "winning" teams.

....it's generally the same with F1. Just because I support Mark Webber doesn't make me a gushing Red Bull fan. Hell, when my all-time favourite driver (Ayrton himself) was around....I loved McLaren and I still have a soft spot for them.

However, when success turns a team into a bunch of w**kers (aka Chelsea)....they will always lose support, and frankly no-one could argue with the fact that most of us love to see the "underdog" get up. McLaren and Ferrari will always be a victim of it's own success in terms of public support.

See i knew it,

Half of everyones opening statement is " i dont see why i should support someone because they're from same country",

That doesn't imply its wrong to support someone from the same country, or that people who do so are only doing it because they are from the same country. Well, I hope it doesn't because I don't believe in either.

Im awful sorry but i must say, its easier then easy to undersatnd what the point of my post is, and yet this reply....makes no sense to me.

Maybe its because you chose to take my opening line out of context, its just the opening statement, please quote the whole post next time. The first line wasnt mean to imply anything by itself.

" people who do so (support a driver) are only doing it because they are the same country......i hope it doesnt because I dont believe in either"

thats my point in its entirety^^^ you hope others dont support a fellow countrymen because YOU dont believe in it, and linking from what i said in my first post, these people tend to express themselves to the people that do support the main team/driver of their country ina slightly snobby way. Its so easy to spot with just seemingly simple remarks about things, just because "you" are an Englishman who say supports Williams and Kubica. You get it in other walks of life too, like music snobs, who constantly talk shizz about modern music even to their friends, and take some snobby moral ground based on their "uniqueness".
