Ferrari having completed almost five times as many kilometers of testing compared to McLaren? :yikes: I'd be a tad worried about that alone.

All that testing and then a spark plug goes and costs your a victory. We'll just have to wait and see what the first two rows on the grid look like. Another MONTH of waiting....

Or for Sennaville: 2,678,400 seconds

yeah but being a hopeless optimist... another 180 of those have ticked off just since your post. :D

Not only that but McLaren are normally quick to voice out their displeasure during the offseason. Don't forget, they are expected to win every year, they have massive sponsors just like the other top teams. If they keep quiet and act like everything is fine and dandy, and then turn out to look like a joke when the season starts, business-wise its very unethical as the sponsors are also watching their performance and have their expectations.

So far the comments have been mostly "all good according to schedule"....I don't think McLaren are struggling. Not the quickest maybe but there, thereabouts.

Indeed so. I remember back when they were struggling with the MP4-24, they were downplaying their chances and explaining they had issues they still needed to work on. So far, with the MP4-26, all they have to say is "Going alright, all systems go"

There is no smoke without fire. As such im certain theres at least something slightly concerning going on with Mclaren, enough for them to voice it openly infact. So yeah i am worried about this year for them. This extra test could be an absolute godsend.

They make great progress during the season, so, we just have to wait and see...
I am a Red Bull fan, and I think they have done the best job again...

Extra? from what i read its simply a substitution....... not an extra test per se. But this extra time lapse might actually play in the hands of Ferrari and Mclaren who "seem" to be behind the darned Bulls.........

You know what i knew that it was just replacing Bahrain, but some fools in various places have said oh look extra test and things along them lines, and given that there a loads more knowledgeable people then i am i ddint question it and just went along with it

Surely this does give teams, Mclaren rather some more time in the wind tunnel before the test.

Going by what people have said about wind tunnels being the best when calibrated with real world data, that might benefit Ferrari has they should have the most data from testing, and of course Mclaren have less than a lot of other teams.

Might benefit Ferrari, it would rather, but considering the lack of testing Mclaren have done theyd benefit most, they might not be further ahead then Ferrari come the end of it, but they would surely benefit most from it.

McLaren didn't test the MP4-25 in the first tests for their entertainment, they gathered data on tire wear and degradation rates and general feel as well as any other bits from the MP4-26 they felt they could test in that car. If you combine the miles the difference isn't as great. We know they're a test behind, so I'm not sure where the pessimism or optimism is coming from... for any team.

We'll know what the cars really look like after Q3 in Australia. I think I've read that somewhere on this thread previously. :D

Well, go away and don't post on testing threads then, actually don't post anything on f1 until the end of Q3 in Australia :P
