Now they have braw it is very likely they will be a bit better and by 2009 may even win races but in my veiw when the car gets to that level they definately need to CHOP both drivers. Rubens will be nearly 40 by then and jenson 30. Jenson has proved to be a number two to the the likes of fisis and ralf and has only really matched rubens this year IMHO he has not got what it takes to take honda to the next level. The prime candidates honda should look out for are ; rosberg - very fast lot of potential, Heidfeld - BMW may have done a stupid thing not based on pace and given his seat to glock - hed still be a good bet right into his late 30's i think so at 32/33 he will still have what it takes, Kubica but If BMW IS A very good car they wont get him and in IMO he will never be a great development driver unlike nick, even if he does get quicker, kovalinen- fast solid driver who will end up a good number 2 should honda want to go down that route. They need this kind of qaulity to make them into a STRONG FORCE. With button and rubens they will just get what they design, or less but with any of these a race winning car could become a championship car - in fact I am sure theyd get rid of at least one if not both of their current incumbents if they really have a chance, Heidfeld to HONDA in 09 in my opinion looks quite likely.[/i]

You're cleary a muppet.

Heidfeld to Honda??, what the hell are you on about.

Button slow, do you even watch F1. I guess his performance all year has been terrible, i mean. To qualify 6th at Fuji in an uncompetitive Honda, useless, to come from 10th to 5th at China, another poor performance, to get points in France and Italy, yeah, Honda need rid of a driver like that.

Plus Kovalinen, not a bad choice, since if he gets a seat at McLaren hes deffinetly going to Honda, i mean clearly leaving the 2nd most succesful team ever is a wise choice.

Plus Heidfeld, lands himself in one of the fastest moving F1 teams, the car completey suits him, he fits perfectly with BMW, and wants to win a world title with BMW, yep, moving to a team that have proved incapable of winning races is a good choice

Button needs a reasonably competitive car behind him, he's not had that last season for sure. Saying he is past it come 30 is a bit bizarre. I don't think anyone will argue that Rubens needs to go.

Put Button and Heidfeld in the same car and I'd put my money on Jenson.

Button's a good driver, he'll probably benefit most from the TC ban next year as he's the smoothest driver in the sport and has wet weather skills on par with Jean Alesi (only Schumacher and Senna were better). He needs a good car behind him and perhaps in time with Brawn at Honda now, he may just get one.

You just think hes quick cos hes british. He really isnt. 6 points is no great. ANd no not saying past it at 30 but saying some at 32/33 will be LESS past it than him. Kovslinen wont be in maclaren and u think brawn wont make honda good? Right let rubens and button drive the team to succes(yeah get a few podiums in a really competitive car is good)

6 points in a crap car is a good achievment. look @ the other honda that only managed a big fat zero. you cant compare this years honda to ferraris and mclarens. your a bit muppet. no other word for it.

put any1 in that honda and they will be crap. i think the fact that the drivers all rate button highly and the pit regard him as the smoothest driver (which is a good thing) makes him a key if honda are to go far.

Right let rubens and button drive the team to succes(yeah get a few podiums in a really competitive car is good)
lets give them a good car first.

just look at button when he lost his wing, still lapping faster than most cars and thats without a front wing. think anyone will agree button is a very good driver just lacking a good car. And he should benifit this year from the lack of TC.

You're really that Nieve, rofl.

6 points in car that is basically a back maker is a great achievement. How can you not understand that.
and i'm not biased, cause i'm not from Britan

But the hoda drivers have just made it LOOK like it was a backmaker, unless their were guys in the car that I RATE then we cant know how competitive the car really was. I'd suggest even Liuzzi and Massa would have got more points in that honda.

Are you for real.

put button in the mclaren he'd be a top 4. but put any1 in a mclaren last year they would be a top 4. the cars are so much faster than the others. put button in a mclaren and i think he would have won the title. hes so smooth and races how a car should be raced. he should be fast as hell without TC
