Piquet could drive for Renault. Suthil is a possibility to McLaren, Heiki most likely but Nick is in the picture

I'd like to see de la Rosa get another chance in the race seat with McLaren. He's shown some great pace in previous races when deputising.

Bit too boring. Too middle of the road, it might end up being him tho-keep Santander happy.

Williams - Nakajima & R. Schumacher

Toro Rosso - Vettel & Davidson
Force India - Karthikeyan & Sutil
Super Aguri - Sato & Fisichella

sorry, but this was fuuny to read.
Disagree. Coulthard at McLaren, they got rid of him in the first place, why on earth would they want him back, he admitted that himself.

Plus, Toro Rosso Davidson, WTF. Ralf at Williams, Rosberg at Toyota, this is just putting good driver in crap teams, and the no so great in fast cars.

So you guys think that Williams will be much more competitive than Toyota next year? Rosberg and Toyota isn't any crap-combination, believe me! :S

juggles, if kovalainen would leave for mclaren and alonso return to mr briatore..

.. who would take the finns place in renault? piquet? fisico? someone else?

not fisichella, i'd like to see piquet there, although if alonso were to head back home i'm not sure he'd be too happy to have another rookie around who might show him up...there's a whole new generation of drivers coming in who need to be given a chance, so drivers like barichello, fisichella, etc. need to go. a new driver is going to have to come in somewhere. so why not at renault. paid off for McLaren this year didn't it (or would've done if it hadn't been for spy scandal, in fighting etc)

As far as I'm aware, the contractual situation is as follows:

Ferrari: Raikkonen + Massa
BMW Sauber: Heidfeld + Kubica
Renault: ???
Williams: Rosberg + Nakajima
Red Bull: Coulthard + Webber
Toyota: Trulli + ???
Toro Rosso: Vettel + Bordais
Honda: Button + Barrichello
Super Aguri: Sato + Davidson
Force India: Sutil + ???
McLaren: Hamilton + ???
Prodrive: ???

So that leaves 7 vacant seats (or 5 if Prodrive don't show). Personally I think Kovalainen is going to McLaren, while Alonso will go to Renault partnered by Nelsinho Piquet on a clear No.2 contract. Toyota are a hair's breath away from coaxing Timo Glock from BMW Sauber, so that just leaves the second Force India seat and Prodrive as the real unknowns.

Force India are known to be testing Christian Klein and Vitantonio Liuzzi soon, while Fisichella and Ralf Shumacher are also in with a chance. Prodrive (if they make it) are almost certain to run Gary Paffett, and it would make sense to partner him with an old hand, i.e. one of the four drivers already mentioned.

I'm guessing that the two big questions will be Alonso's new team and Hamilton's new team mate. Think I'd like to see this.

Ferrari: Raikkonen + Massa
McLaren: Hamilton + Kovalainen
Renault: Webber + Piquet
BMW Sauber: Heidfeld + Glock
Williams: Rosberg + Nakajima
Red Bull: Alonso + Coulthard
Toyota: Trulli + Kubica
Toro Rosso: Vettel + Bordais
Honda: Button + Barrichello
Super Aguri: Sato + Davidson
Force India: Sutil + Liuzzi

I hope Dave Richards has been anticipating this and sorting out a plan-b and a chassis design of his own. I'd like to see them out next year. Gary Paffett would make sense now you've said it, and pairing him up with someone like Fisi would be about the best of the remaining.

Would be fun but will not happen. Both McLaren and Williams are known not to take back what they rejected before (or what rejected them). Also Rosberg will not move anywhere for 2008, and if/when he does I'd say it's more likely for him to end up in McLaren. Ralf is in talks with Force India, btw.
