"I can't be bothered with working my nuts off and qualifying fourteenth any more. It's making me unhappy," Button added.

Just liked his choice of words

I really don't blame him. Winning for the first time was a huge high in his life, to go into next year and get slapped down to the back of the feild must be such hit in the balls.
Honda need to get their act together, they have been chasing the top runners for since 2000. Time to get your heads down and for once make a car that can win races.

Honda and Toyota are an embarrassment to Formula One. Arguably the biggest budgets and financial power and they can't produce a decent car after many years.

I have a nutty button which I press once in a while, usually before work. James Allen presses his before every race weekend. I think Hamilton has one on his steering wheel and he pushed it during the race in brazil.

Hamilton may never win title says Button

Lewis Hamilton may never again get the chance to win a world championship, his countryman and rival Jenson Button has warned.

Hamilton, the McLaren rookie, looked certain to make history this year by securing the drivers' title at his first attempt, as he entered the final races of the season with a substantial points advantage over his rivals.

But errors and problems in China and Brazil, as well as the back to back victories of Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, meant the 22-year-old ultimately had to settle for the runner-up spot.

Hamilton dealt with the disappointment by telling the media that he will come back even stronger next year, but Button warned that title opportunities may never come around twice.

"He's a great driver, but there are lots of great drivers in Formula One who did not have his package," said Button, who won his maiden Grand Prix last year and then fell to the back of the field in 2007 with the abysmal Honda RA107 racer.

The 27-year-old told the Evening Standard: "What would worry me is the lost opportunity.
You can't say in my sport: 'Oh well, I only missed out by a point so next year I'll go one better'. It doesn't work like that.

"He should be sick as a dog because another chance like that might not come round again," Button added.

Consoling Hamilton over the winter period, however, are ever increasing signs that he could be about to embark on perhaps the most financially-lucrative career in the history of the sport.

The Independent newspaper reports that he is considering floating himself on the London stock market, with a 10 per cent share in his newly formed company to potentially fetch about $100m immediately.

Yes I think he is. He had his 2 minutes in the limelight & now he doesn’t like the new kid on the block.
I think Lewis will have a better crack at it, as long as the car is competitive.

Englishmen = Honest - Blunt - Jealous !!!!!!!!! What else can be added to the list :?::?: How long is a string :?::?::wink:

To be fair Jenson had a point - he was expecting to be challenging for more wins this season in the same way Hamilton is expecting to win the title in the future. And look what car he was given! It could happen to Hamilton, unlikely though.

Good timing from Jenson, almost issuing a 'come and get me plea' but with the news of Ross being onboard, hopefully he'll stay put. Rubens needs to be punted tho'
