Alonso's started his mind games early, he's even said Kubica is the best driver on the grid.
Or maybe its a genuine change (or reversion) of attitude, and he's decided (or Ferrari have told him) to not worry about "being the best"/ reputation etc, just focus on driving. If thats true, his mentality should be a lot stronger, and he'll feel less pressured.
