Alonso is a lot brighter than he looks after all

[Stealthgate007]

I think if you'd ask Lewis, he would say that Alonso is probably the best driver currently on the grid.

I believe Alonso could be the best driver on the grid. I just don't want to come right out and say it.

Taking everything into consideration, there's no question that Alonso and Hamilton are the two best drivers on the grid. Had either of them been in a RB last year, it would have been over in August.

Based on the quoted excerpts he comes off as being honest in his opinions, and he's certainly right to claim that the draw for practice is largely due to the Spanish coming to see him.

[Hammer278]

Wow. I never thought I'd say this but my opinion of Alonso has just gone up a whole notch.

Notch 1.

[Hammer278]

Oh yeah..just read this part:

"There are more than 30,000 people here," he marvelled at last week's Jerez test. "The people who speak badly about me then tremble and cry when they want to have their picture taken with me. There is a difference between how brave people feel writing on the internet, and when I see the admiration I receive all around the world. I also think it's easier to write that there are so many people who are anti-Alonso than to write that 30,000 people came to a test to see me."

Hey buddy you were right in front of me once signing autographs and I never gave you a second glance.

Best drivers at CURRENT. We're following Mr Almighty's interview here where he states things in the current. The past is the past.

Well then what is there to suggest that Alonso and Hamilton are the best CURRENTLY?

All we have seen is WDCs in the PAST but only one driver has the WDC in the CURRENT.

the word "current" should always be capslocked.

[Hammer278]

We'll just agree to disagree on this, I dont see this argument worth the time.

No worries? Make sure Jenson and Webber aren't nearby to hear you say that.
