Hi, I thought you forum readers might be interested in some photos my friend, Barrie Leach, has uncovered of the 1978 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch. They were taken by his Father Peter Leach in and around the pits and track in interesting circumstances! Heres the quote from the webpage:

"On the 16th of July 1978 my Dad Peter Leach & a couple of friends went down to the UK F1 Grand Prix, the plan was to turn up before anyone got there, act like they were supposed to be there & hang around the pits taking photographs. This seemed to be working fine until somebody noticed the lack of press credentials & booted them out.

These were shot (probably) on a Zenit SLR with manual everything, I think he did a great job. There's some really interesting behind the scenes stuff captured & I'm sure that they will be of interest to F1 fans.

I scanned these off prints, did a little cropping & correction but I've got the negs too, Thanks to my friend & F1 fan Craig Lee for help identifying cars & stuff."

There's some great close ups of most of the cars and a couple of driver shots too, in particular a couple of nice shots of Niki Lauda. There's also a few other faces I recognise but can't put a name to. Maybe someone here can help? It's a bit before my time, I was 4 in 1978 and I Started following F1 in the mid eighties!
