Sad news...

I hope that RK fully recovers, especially his hand. Sadly, I think he's raced his last GP as a top flight driver. F1 historyshows when guys come back from serious stuff like this, they're never quite the same. I honestly hope that I'm proved wrong......

This doctor seems to be smiling...but TBH I didn't understant what he says...
I just understood that Kubica got some vascular issues and will be back in 1 year(optimistic). is it right?

I comprehended the vascular explanation and having to make a serated nerve one again but the biggest thing was that it will be atleast 1yr before a true evaluation of his progress can be made. If he makes a F1 comeback it will be a miracle and I'm not happy to say that .

Renault GP in big trouble here. I think we all know Petrov isn't experienced enough to lead the team, and neither are any of their Reserves. Best option would seem to be hiring Nick Heidfeld.

Yup, big trouble for Renault. They feel they HAVE to come up with good results this yr. and there was frankly, no one better than Kubica for that job right now; the car is more or less worked around him, and he was the guy to watch/surprise this season.

Heidfeld could come around to it (the car) after some races, maybe Liuzzi (although Liuzzi and Petrov in the same team would mean a LOT of DNFs)... but i dont think anyone else right now is up to the task. Would be nice to see Hulkenberg getting the ride.

I wouldnt count him out just yet, Zinardi made a comeback without any legs. When theres a will theres a way.

Maybe i'm being pessimistic.... but man, that's a big blow. Renault must be all hands-on-head right now.

It will all depend on how well his hand functionality returns to. Even if he loses some functionality, as long as he can hold onto the wheel he should be fine, they would just have to make adjustments to the steering wheel where he uses his other hand for the buttons on the wheel.

For certain he wont be racing in 2011, Hopefully the FIA will allow him to do some testing like they gave Massa to get back up to speed.

Kubica has proven how tough he is, he has comeback from a pretty serious crash already. Go Bobby!!!!

It's a really big deal, no drivers of Kubica's calibre are available. Raikkonen is the only one not driving for an F1 team, and he's busy in another category. Grim tidings for the nascent Genii Capital F1 Team.

Not to demean Robert's plight but there's a strong rumour that Renault are trying to wrestle Kimi out of Rally to join ASAP this season. Not necessarily from the start.
