Some snippets of goss about the silver team
Lewis believes without any shadow of a doubt that he's the fastest F1 driver. He should have more titles to reflect this but says thats now all "woulda could shoulda". he feels time is passing and his one ambition is to win more titles.
Button also believes Hamilton is the fastest F1 driver. But this is not something he readily admits in public. He does think he can beat him though despite this. Why? The way he has turned team hamilton into team Button while Hamilton was dismissing his father and getting into other hot water off the race track.Inside the motorhome it was as though Hamilton had joined Buttons team and not vice versa. Hamilton often took refuge from his turbulent times in camp Button.
The engineers love Button-quality feedback that they didnt get with hamilton.
However as the season went on Hamilton's raw speed come to the fore and he ended up the more accomplished driver.
Last year was the first time Button had a car not desigened around him, he said he felt he was sitting on top of it rather than in it. This years he has had input, the team have listened to him and the car is to his liking.
Button realises looking at Hamilton's telemetry that if he were to work more closely with his engineers then everyone else might as well pack up and go home.
Hamilton has mended his relationship with his father..and his girlfriend and is now solely focused on winning.
Button fully expects to be fighting throughout the championship.
Both seem to love the new car.
