Hey Newbie, McLaren was responsible for the best launches in the early 2000s and late 90s. Now, with the economic crunch, its time to go conservative and save the extra bundle to destroy the guys high on caffeine and sugar in 2011!! Get a clue. :D

I cant believe people found THAT impressive? It was so lame and boring, I honestly cant think of a worse way to launch a car!

They try to make it look as if normal people are bringing the pieces of the car over when you obviously know its just some Macca crew in disguise or some people they paid.
Even when putting it together it was so casual, as if they really didnt care.

I would have expected some guys to come flying down on parachutes, crawling through the floor and breaking through windows just to deliver the pieces, but instead they all just walk over and bolt it together.

It was just awkward.

What i would have done is. Have Lewis or Jens drive the skeleton of the car over, do a few donuts so that we can see what an F1 car looks like naked and running and then bolt on all the pieces as if they were doing it in a pitstop. Now that would have been cool.

If you spent a little more time reading and a lot less time talking, you'll get better grades in school.

Thanks for the personal attack, but if your really keen i will send you my GCSE scores and you can decide for yourself eh?

Its even sweeter when it comes from a mod. Who do i look for justice now?

No wonder you have so much time on your hands...well try doing IGCSE and MYP (know what that is?) in parralel.

I understand you have a lot of time now, applying to universities while scooping up icecreams from Mummy's fridge, but let's not get big headed right now. University is a whole different ballgame. And after that, when you start working....maybe you'd be more developed by then.

I never said McLaren cant do launches, i liked last year's one! I'm just saying that this one was disappointing.

It is something different which was never done before. Why is it lame or boring? Were you there? Or did you read any comments from people who were gathered AT the launch saying the whole thing was 'boring'? Link please.

I don't even remember the launch of Redbull, for such a party team maybe they should hire you since you have so many great ideas on how to do the launches. They might build great cars but they are Lame Ducks in introducing them.

What does that have anything to do with my opinion of Mclaren's launch? I didnt say i'm smarter than anyone else, he insulted me and i said i can give him proof that i'm not as stupid as he thinks. What does my mother's fridge or university have to do with it?

It is my opinion that it was lame and boring, i explained why it was lame in one of the posts above and i think it was boring because i was waiting for something interesting to happen and yet nothing did.

What does redbull have to do with this? Just because i support them doesnt mean i was comparing this launch to theirs, hell, they didnt really even have a launch, they just turned up and said "Yeah, this is our car.".

I guess people arnt allowed to make opinions which might conflict with others as they just get abused from every angle possible. What next? Why is my dog brown and why is my car white?

I don't recall him calling you stupid, but I'm not getting into that.

Maybe criticising another teams' launch is a bit below the belt, I took it as a joke but you can't complain if fans of the team get offended. Friendly advice.

Justice? A great injustice has been done and you need retribution? I was giving you constructive critique on life, you can completely disregard it and pay no attention to it. (as you often do) Eager to spout off something semi coherent and condescending about whatever you're stuck on a given day. You posted a response on a thread giving your review ...err correction bad mouthing a launch by a car manufacture you obviously have little love for, and you're mentioning things like:

They try to make it look as if normal people are bringing the pieces of the car over when you obviously know its just some Macca crew in disguise or some people they paid.

When if you'd bothered to read the previous post... you know the one you were likely responding to, the 3rd paragraph explained the intent and that it was employees.. no secret plot to fool you or the general public. Like they're going to hand a 160 thousand dollar piece of carbon fiber to a Joe Schmoe there for the unveiling.

Spend less time looking for justice and more time reading, you'll get better grades in school.

You could "read" the forum guidelines and know you could turn to my boss the guy in pink, if you have an issue with a moderator.

You really expected people flying down with parachutes and others digging their way out of the tarmac with bits of McLaren?:yikes:

What does redbull have to do with this? Just because i support them doesnt mean i was comparing this launch to theirs, hell, they didnt really even have a launch, they just turned up and said "Yeah, this is our car.".

I know...how boring. I was just expressing my feedback on their launch, why take it personally? Just did what you did in the previous page!

I guess people arnt allowed to make opinions which might conflict with others as they just get abused from every angle possible. What next? Why is my dog brown and why is my car white?

As per my previous post.

I don't think you're stupid, but you're giving us irrefutable proof that you're acting in an arrogant manner and have little regard for anyone's opinion but yours.

So i skipped one post and as a result you can come to the conclusion that i should read to get better grades in school without knowing what my grades are actually like? Ok, i dont mind giving out critiques either, why dont you allow people to form their own opinions and not get offended by those opinions and maybe you will get somewhere and life and not be such a disappointment to those unfortunate enough to be around you.

How was one supposed to know that those were Mclaren team members? Was there any evidence other than that article to prove that they were? Was a casual viewer supposed to be able to tell?

So i guess you think a review would have gone a little more like "Wow i really love mclaren, they are so cool, best team in F1, most awesome looking car i have seen in my life. I am really stupid for not supporting mclaren because they are really good at car launches, i mean wasnt it awesome how some people brought over bits of the car and bolted it on. I made me so excited!"

Better? I guess anything negative towards them would be bad mouthing. Sorry forgot about that.

You have no proof i have little love for Mclaren so that point is completely invalid.

Enough of the personal insults already; everyone including mods, sorry WB, you're comments did come across as abrasive and personal insult like. Nish, if you have a problem with a moderator; contact an Admin and appropriate action will be taken, mods are not above the (forum) law, moderators have been dismissed in the past for not behaving!

Doesnt the "report" button do the trick?

Yes it works, that how I found this thread and offending posts, not saying that this happens but all the mods and admins can see the report and close it, a PM to an administrator can only be removed by an administrator. Now let's get back to the thread topic; if you want to discuss further PM me!
