ferrari is only beautiful if you dont get bored of the same bloody colour! objectively it has to be the best but i friggin love mercedes car, and saubers.

When you close your eyes and imagine a Ferrari, there's only one color you paint it. Anything else is a travesty. Ok... I'll let black slide, but anything else is a travesty.

You probably won't like what I did to my 599 then.

No,no, that would be hidious. I used a bright green Lamborghini paint chip on it, yellow wheels, a nice spoiler and carbon bonnet (hood).

Please tell me you're not overcompensating for anything. The carbon hood, probably cost what my car costs! So are you happy with the fit and finish of it? BTW, no comment on the color, and I've seen the shade you're talking about, and it looks cool... a bit boy racer for me, although I've got absolutely nothing against color per se, I love it all, just in the right situation/application. The wheels I do like though. magnesium of course right?

Lol, don't worry that's in GT5. IRL I drive an Astra (with no mods).

I have to say. I have absolutely nothing against you personally, but...You must be stopped. You must pay for your crimes. :)

The Tifosi don't get bored with it so really I think thats all that matters. The McLaren has been silver for how many years now but we are not bored with their livery, right? Ferrari has ALWAYS been red but can we say the same for McLaren?

chill bro, christ i eveb said objectively its the best every year, doesnt make it any less boring to me, as for mclaren, their livery is crap in the chrome scheme, red/white orange or black and silver, not dirty chrome.

I'm pretty sure on this one actually. But if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

You're right. Yellow is the official color of Ferrari (look at the prancing horse logo, its on a yellow background). Red was the colour allocated to Italian racing teams way back when (as Bud pointed out)... Ferrari have just stuck with red for their racing colour.

like a talking encyclopedia spanky!

to add
to that thats why mercedes is silver, lotus is green, ferrari is red, its a racing colour designated to each country back in the day, infact ill find the link which has a whole list of them.

I guess if we look through a history book for F1 and GT racing, I kind of always knew this but didn't know I knew, you know?

McLaren extends Santander sponsorship.

"With the reveal of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-26 just days away, we are delighted to announce that we have extended our partnership with banking giant Santander.

The Santander logo will continue to appear on Lewis’s and Jenson’s overalls, and this year on their helmets too, while Lewis and Jenson will in turn continue to appear in Santander’s advertisements and in marketing material within branches.

Ana Botin, Santander UK CEO, said: “We are delighted to sign an extension to our deal with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. It is exciting to be able to continue working with Lewis and Jenson. The relationship we have built with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team and its drivers has been integral to creating and building the Santander brand in the UK. Without it, we would have not been able to rebrand to Santander last year.”

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team principal Martin Whitmarsh said: “Santander has been a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes partner since 2007 and we are delighted to be working together in building a successful future for both brands. The continued support of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ partners is a critical element of the team’s success.”

Since its partnership with the team began in 2007, prompted awareness of the Santander brand has increased more than fourfold. Surveys have indicated that 93 per cent of people are now aware of the brand, whereas just 20 per cent were back in 2007.

Santander cites its association with 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton in its advertising campaigns as one of the driving forces behind the huge growth in brand recognition.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes have numerous long-standing partners and we are extremely proud of the relationships we have built over the decades. At the end of 2009, luxury Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer celebrated 25 years as a team partner, while world-renowned fashion and lifestyle brand Hugo Boss is this year marking 30 years with the team.

Last October, title partner Vodafone expanded its involvement with the team, signing on as title partner and total communications partner of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes until the end of 2013."

I still find it creepy that Santander sponsor the only out-and-out enemies in F1.

Well, I guess they're not the only ones any more. Renault sure hate Team Lotus...To whom they supply engines...

F1 is confusing.

I guess they would say they Sponser Ferrari and Alonso and they Sponser Lewis and Jenson.

Its really just so they can stick a picture of Lewis and Jenson in the British Branches and a Pic of Alonso in the Spanish ones.

Which to a casual fan they won't notice, but i agree to its somhow wrong.
