I remember that one time when i saw an F1 driver. Actually i think i saw 24.

And if you didnt speak to Jenson how does it make it any different to when you see him driving around a track? The interaction is still the same, you drool over him and he is completely oblivious to your existence!

Sheesh, you're a quite a misery-guts aren't you? Cheer up! :)

Thats like saying seeing a photograph of the person you love is the same as just sitting with them. Just because the level of interaction is superficially the same, it doesn't mean the experience is.

No one here seriously 'loves' any driver do they? Generally, they are our source of entertainment and interest at certain points in our life.

If something happened to the driver I support, I can't see my life being affected in any way, I'll just move on to another driver to hold my interest. In a way, what nish says makes certain sense. I met a bunch of drivers the first time, and it was a great experience. I never got to meet David Coulthard (who I was supporting at the time) but I didn't really care much.

Is this how majority feels? Or am I a certified freak. :D

Nicole does!

Ok, now you're waaaaay over thinking this! Juliet is an F1, she saw one of her favorite F1 drivers out in her day to day world, neat, she got a kick out of it, but no one is having a life altering moment. Maybe Jensonb with his man crush feeling all pained with envy. I got sidetracked, but I guess int he right environment and with the right person that we look up to we may feel just a wee bit star struck. I've never felt it, but more power to those that have and have enjoyed it.

How do you know Nicole does? You can never count on 'celebrity love'. :D

Its just a thought that crossed my mind...for example people do tend to get these celebrities a bit more involved than normal, I'm sure you've heard of people crying over MJ's death. I listened to his songs and videos from childhood till late teens, and his death was a definite shock but I stopped thinking about it in a couple of days. Others have had their lives changed.

Geeze, I can't believe MJ's death was on your mind for a few days. The thing that always come into my mind when I hear MJ mentioned is when Triumph (the insult dog) went to interview his fans outside the court during his court case. I loved it when he asked an avid fan "on a scale of 1 to 10 ..... how old is Micheal's last boyfriend?"

You were never a fan of MJ, were you? What's your point then?

If Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton passed in a bus crash tomorrow, I wouldn't even consider it news. Because I never followed their music or anything about them.

My point was that it surprises me how much thought people give to some celebrities - in life and death actually.

My other point was I enjoyed Triumph's interviewing the MJ fans at the courthouse. I also enjoyed him interview people lined up at a Starwars release.

And nope I wasn't a fan of MJ's music, I thought he was a better dancer actually.

I wasn’t a MJ fan but I’ve never believed those stories about MJ and the kids. They were people trying to get money from him. It was a painful story about people’s greed.
