To be honest I wouldn't miss Monaco; in fact I haven't watched a whole Monaco race since JB finished second in 2004!

That's because you don't have an apartment overlooking the marina.

Actually yes I do; I use it as my holiday home when back in Europe! :D

Prince Albert comes over for tea with you when you're there, yes?

Yes, although I wish he wouldn't, I don't like him whipping out his namesake after a bottle of wine with dinner! :vomit:

I loorve street circuits! To each their own. Even when Monaco is boring it's exciting.

I grew up in SA, went to Kyalami a few times, there is a huge fanbase of F1 fans in Suid Afrika. A street circuit in CT would be great, there'd be no empty seats!

He prefers your view over his?

Im not a big fan of street circuits, but just like the night race, Monaco has a sense of novelty... its good and great in its own, but trying to recreate it simply takes away the novelty. I'm sure there's lots of ways to make an interesting calendar without having to make wannabes.

Still dont understand what the big deal about Monaco is.

Yes, i agree, it is a tough track but then again we have a few of those already.

Its glamorous? Did no one spot that boat in Abu Dhabi? The one owned by a Russian billionaire which was almost as big as some of the grandstands?

Comparing Abu Dhabi with Monaco is a sin!

Abu Dhabi is like a colourful parking lot, made into a race track with kerbs and what not.

The Monaco track has existed almost since the beginning of F1 time and barely evolved since then, its part of tradition. And please...tell me ONE track which is more challenging than Monaco and has a higher attrition rate. I await your answer. Don't make me infect your hard drive by saying Singapore! :D

monaco is only challenging in the concentration sense, id say high speed corners and heavy braking zones, which monaco doesnt have are twice as chalkenging, just cause abu dhabi isnt eurocentric and doesnt have a casino, doesnt make it any less glamourous, tradition is your only hand to play.

I dont really care about the glamour, but for me the suspense is at its peak during the start of a Monaco race, more than any other. Fair play for other opinions I guess.

I would say that applies for every track. Except for the fact that after 2 laps on every other track the race does not transform into 'follow the leader and then crash'.
