Rumours are growing that Liuzzi will be bumped for Paul di Resta to become the 3rd british driver on the grid. It would be interesting to see what he can do as he didnt struggle to get to grips with the Force India during Friday FP's. Liuzzi will probably find a seat at HRT or be relegated to test driver. The worst thing to come from this news is that we might see his manager back on the F1 grids and hogging up our TV screens :(:(

This rumour has been going strong all winter. I thought it was a given but it seems Liuzzi is adamant that his contract for next season is binding!

It's also essentially the last available drive on the grid...

still dont get why no one has snapped up the Hulk as a driver or reserve...

Me neither - surprised Mercedes don't, if i'm honest.

I just can't believe he couldn't get a drive though, it really is a joke. In some ways it simply makes F1 look bad.

Why? He wasn't that good.

I do have a little inside info on this one and have been led to believe it's pretty much a done deal that Di Resta will be getting the drive, I was told this about a fortnight ago. Can't really give away any details more than that though until more official word comes out.

looks likely that di resta is going to get the drive isnt it? but i do kind of feelkind of sorry for luzzi

What is that in the imperial system? (days, months, decadeds)

The way some lower level drivers switch seats, i would not be surprised to see Liuzzi or Hulkenburg in a year or 2

Haha, is a fortnight not a common term any more?!? About two week ago....

As I say, I can't really say much more about it as I wouldn't want to jeapordise anyones job in case they're not meant to be telling me the info...

Ay it's a shame Liuzzi might be replaced but I'd sure like to see Di Resta racing in f1 rather than just doing testing. It would just take the p*ss if HRT still charged Liuzzi for a seat.

That pole in Brazil showed a flash of brilliance that many drivers haven't, and that includes several established veterans! He clearly has massive potential, yet there is no place for him in F1, because F1 has basically demonstrated that pay drivers are apparently more important than actual talent.

I agree. I wish Williams would of given Hulkenburg a second chance because in my mind he is a much better driver than Maldonado.

Yeah but one drop of rain doesn't make a downpour. The way he's being talked about here, you'd think he'd embarrassed Rubinho or something. I'm not saying he's no good (that would be a frankly absurd insinuation, he's probably better at this stage of his career than a certain Scuderia driver was), I'm just questioning the idea it's somehow unthinkable he'd be passed over.
