Nowadays It's not really who the car suits... it's who suits the car.

The cockpits maybe tailor made but the car is not, especially with new regulations where the influence of the number one driver on the previous year's car would not carry forward, example being the agile MP4-24 to the bus-like Mp4-25. If the car is well balanced though, it will be good for both Lewis and Jenson. Ironically, Lewis and jenson have a similar ideal setup; the brakes and how they drive that setup making the difference.

All indications are pointing to the Hamilton suiting the car more than Jenson this year. The Pirelli fronts are stronger (or rears weaker), fixed weight distribution, KERS is back, car weight 20kg more (Hamilton is very good at heavy fuel and cold tyres), and there are more buttons on the steering wheel! More things to tinker with is just the thing to spoil the routine of a seasoned driver such as Button! This should be no problem for Hamilton who plays video games on a regular basis and is not "seasoned" into a ten year routine like Button. Imagine Button having to "unlearn" so much to get to grips with two extra buttons on the wheel. It's not going to be easy at all.

You have a pretty warped idea of Jenson Button if you think he can't handle an extra couple of buttons to push on the steering wheel.

Just because I'm aware of it doesn't mean he can't keep surprising me with new lengths.

Can anyone seriously believe that Lewis and Jenson will be treated equally at McLaren? And that McLaren will adapt the new car to Button’s driving style? Button is second driver at McLaren and he will be second driver until he leaves. I don’t know if this is an opinion or a fact, but it’s undeniably the truth. If anyone don’t believe that and thinks that Jenson is the best driver on the grid, he should accept Hammer´s bet without excuse. That isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact.

No they wont! Lewis gets filet mignons while Jens will get hot dogs! Lewis will be drinking Moet while Jense will be sippin on carrot juice! Lewis be rollin while Jense be hatin! They even brought the finest Italian tailors to make the MP4-26 to fit him like a glove while Jens' car is Made in China!

Happy now???

No, it's an opinion. Are you sure you know what "opinion" means?

I think McLaren is one of those teams with enough resources to cater to both drivers. You can't win a WCC with only one driver scoring points, so why wouldn't McLaren want both of their drivers in the top five as often as possible?

its funny coming from an Alonso fan to hear this, it almost sounds like youre outraged that a team favours a driver over another. Sorry how much special treatment does Alonso always get??? Oh yeah thats right stfu :wavey:

I think after a year of climatising to the McLaren team (bagging a few impressive wins on the way) Jenson Button MBE will give his team mate something to think about and show us all what he can do.

i think its wishful spanish thinking mr lorca! welcome to tye forum by the way, i think people give too much credit to , suiting cars equally etc, or fitting into a new te etc they make a miniscule change, and given the lack of abnormalities in 2010 its clear for anyone to see jenson will be beaten
by the same gap.

Surely by Korea Jenson was settled in...

Or was his seat not comfortable? Maybe they purposely put his rear view mirrors at an odd angle, forcing him to spin in the middle of the track to look back!

I'm willing to make this bet with anyone in the forum.

If Lewis outscores Jenson, I win! And anyone who dared against me are able to copy + paste my sentence in Italic.

FYI if the points are equal, but Lewis had more wins/2nds/whatever, its still considered outscored.

Let us know if anyone takes you up on your bet. Given the right points spread I would have considered it, but a flat bet, I'm not biting.
