I think if you're talking about a total passion for racing Senna is still above Villeneuve. He was just the ultimate perfectionist, whereas Gilles was simply much more talented than those he raced against. Talent doesn't take passion, but perfection does, and Senna would just work and work on everything - his car, his attitude, his fitness, his psycology - to make himself the perfect tool for racing.

shumi did the same thing from working in the gym to spending a lot of time with his mechanics he was the ultimate perfectionist

But Senna is still the purer racer because he was prepared to have a team-mate who challenged him

I'd have to go with Clark/Lotus . They even won Indy . None of the others can say that . 8)

Press conference when Senna and Prost first became teamates :
Question : Can you be equal teammates ?
Prost : Yes , we can be . At least a little bit .
Prost , looking to Senna who had been sitting there looking none to happy : We can be , No ?
Senna , not looking at him : NO !
    Prost (laughing) : OH SH*T ! 8)

No, that's a misquote - Prost was asked if they could be equal in the championship, not in the team.

Well , you'll have to forgive me , it's been a long time since it happened , but , same difference . I thought it was funny as h*ll when I heard it . Always had to admire Senna's bluntness .
