I had long blonde hair until I was ten. but then chopped it all off, ten was also the year that I adopted my monkey, so I always had Mischief the monkey riding on my shoulder. I also became obsessed with science and astronomy at that age. F1 was always there.

So, to sum it all up...I was some boy hybrid with a monkey on my shoulder, looking at the skies with my binocs and the only kid in the neighbourhood who knew what F1 was.

FREAK

What were you up to?? :D

Last year of primary school for me - i seem to remember splitting my time between playing football, being addicted to Playstation and watching Damon Hill win the title.

When I was 10... I remember being at a Roman Catholic school which I hated, I was forced to attend mass every Monday morning! Regularly went to football games at my local club Plymouth Argyle and watched them get promoted to the old second division! I loved skateboarding, there was a big hill near where I lived where myself and about 8 or 9 friends would barrow down the hill a dangerous speeds. Oh yeah and I got my first computer; a Sinclair ZX spectrum 48k, the one with the rubber keys.

I was slow skating with Kary McNally who was in high school, at our local roller rink. Her boyfriend 'Bumper', since he was my neighbor and his younger brother was my friend, would allow me too hold her hand while he held her other hand. Crazy thing about that 'roller rink' is that they are still open while everything else around them has changed. I guess that would be circa 1975.

Then on saturday mornings the Huey's would wake me up and I would watch the ParaTroopers spill from the chopper like it was having a good shat out of my bedroom window.

Those were the days I tell ya what! 8-)

Thank you Senna Ville for this most interesting of off season posts. I can't wait for the juicy stuff.

I was learning to speak English newly arrived in the US. Temporarily living with family in Newark NJ while my parents found an apartment for us to live. I remember walking around Sunday evening (garbage night) looking for discarded furniture so my dad could fix up so we'd have furniture when we finally got an apartment.

In school I won some sort of contest for drawing the inner ear, I got 50 bucks for it, and I promptly spent some of it on a pair of walkie-talkies that would work all the way around the block, and an Evel Knievel wind up motorcycle that I'd make jump over stuff.

I've been trying to sell the movie rights and have George Clooney play me. I was close to a deal however, the people I've been dealing with decided to buy a script called Precious and hire some unknown called Gabourey Sidibe.
