For those with the Formula GT Car (F1 Car), is it worth the $5,000,000 price tag? I know you need it for Formula GT Championship on Level 24 but can you use the car in other races or is it limited to only one series? Hate to spent $5,000,000 for a car limited to one series.

yes you can use it in other races as long as it is not limited to country.

The cars origin is Japan.. It works in all the ultimate races. It is a quick money maker...

besides country, is it limited to manufacturer? example, can I race it in Nascar (one of the worst event in GT5). I am gonna take your word for it, otherwise you owe me $5,000,000 and I'll take paypal :hehe:

Ya know I don't believe you can race it at Nascar, but I've never tried.

Even though it is fast, the best way to make money currently is to buy a Corvette LS9 and then race modify it, and then go to the American race, LV 23 and go around the oval. Its currently paying out at $117k per race win..

Strange that you say that; I was reading that some cars in GT5 are being bought and sold for real $$$, which of course is possible with the give to a friend option!

Money isn't an issue, I just want to spent it wisely and not on something expensive and not being abled to use it again. One of the best way to make money is let a driver race for you on B Spec on Level 22/23. Each race is worth around $99K, I just let me driver race, switch over to TV and do some work, then switch back to the game and just like that, another $99K plus bonuses for winning races.

My latest annoyance; enforced automatic pit stops; I was racing in the "Like the Wind" tournament; leading the race with one lap remaining in B-Spec and the game decides I need to pit for tyres, dropping me back to seventh! Not impressed at all, how could Polyphony get it so wrong after five years in development? :banghead:

I thought that would be a players selection and not the game?? :nono:

Your driver is that good already, where you don't have to coach him...

You can cancel the pitstop but to do so you will have to monitor the game and see when they are already to pit. The downside to cancelling a pitstop is that your driver's "strength" is gone and his temper is "hot" which can lead to sloppy driving. I have two drivers with two different personalities and driving styles, get their level up and they can drive longer without pitting but on certain endurance races, you will need more then one driver.

I leveled up both my drivers (two personalities/driving styles) in the lower level races. Its annoying to do because you just let them race over and over and over and over but its worth it when you reach a higher level because now you don't have to tell them anything, just give them a fast car and let them race.

maybe I will devote some time to doing that, like when I am having happy hour drinks and can't really focus on driving. :hehe:

Whatever you do, don't sell your cars.. It took me a while to find truck after I sold the one I won.. Then, the online market opened up and had truck and the Polyphonic GP Car in there..

I missed my chance for some older 3 series bimmers that just don't rotate through anymore, and the Ruffs don't come through either.

Buy the Polyphonic GP car before it goes away though... Currently it in red in the online market. I got the purple one.. Bleehh

Speaking of the Formula GT car; the championship is at level 23' yet when I try to buy it on the online dealership, it tells me I have to be at level 24 to be able to buy it!

Does anyone else find that a little strange?:rolleyes:

And my personal favorite because I actually sat in this BMW at Laguna Seca when JJ Lehto was driving. It was a great day for both me and my son because the BMW team was just awesome, we met Hans Stuck, Bill Auberlein, and JJ Lehto. I told JJ we were big fans of BMW, after signing autographs, he told us to follow him and gave us a complete tour of the garage, sat in the BMW M3GTR, the BMW V12, and we got a bunch of souvinors.
