Maybe we are forgetting a bit that Rosberg, in my opinion a very good driver, has beaten him once and again during 2010.

Schumacher gets faster in 2011 but Rosberg still beats him. Very likely scenario.

I'd bet on it.

I think Mercedes will be a lot stronger in the new season for they focussed all their development from something like the silverstone weekend and from then on to develop their new car. This is something RB, McLaren and Ferrari didn't do so that could help them get a head start in the development race. I reckon Rosberg will be in the best possible position in his F1 career to challenge for wins and possibly even the championship. I think if I'm honest Schumacher will improve a lot but Rosberg will still rank higher in the championship than him.

In the back of my mind I can suddenly see Mercedes looking very strong for the new season.

I agree with you. Mercedes, in my opinion, could play a main role next year and Rosberg is a good enough driver to win the WDC if he has the opportunity to do it. I also feel that Mercedes and MS have a lot of determination to arrive to the top sooner or later. In fact, I believe that MS is the most determinate person in F1.

Out of his depth. Total rubbish

Uff! Did you watch his silly accident at the first lap in Abu Dhabi?

It could happen to any driver  and Michael admitted he got alittle over zealous with the throttle on cold tires, atleast he was man enough too admit it was his mistake  .

To be honest it looked like Rosberg touched him. I haven't seen it since I saw it live so I don't know, could be wrong.

Clearly in the replay it showed he was not touched/bumped just simple driver error, even the greats make mistakes as they are only human. :)

Completely correct. I'd love to see anyone here trying to avoid contact 100% of the time when surrounded by 20+ other cars all doing 0-100 in 4 seconds, accelerating and braking round a series of bends on cold tyres with no traction control or ABS...

Some people just don't think before they type...

Looks like Mercedes is investing on their investment.

Mercedes building new simulator
1 January 2011
GPUpdate

Mercedes Grand Prix boss Ross Brawn has admitted it didn't help a lot that the team was unable to offer Michael Schumacher any runs in a top simulator in 2010. The team however is building a new one, although it won’t be available to use by the Mercedes Formula 1 drivers until 2012.

“It's true that it certainly didn't help Michael in 2010 that he didn't have a top simulator to use to get more virtual mileage in the car,” Brawn told Germany's Auto, Motor und Sport. “A new simulator is currently under construction although it won't be fully operational until 2012.

“Daimler is currently building the simulator. It is a very complicated project as this technology is not simply for sale somewhere.”

As I posted on another site I think simulators are crap as they offer no 'real world' data and the FIA etc etc etc bitches about cost savings :irked: !! The money saved building these multi-million dollars sim's could be utilized at a real testing day before each GP or during the off season, elect ME and I will get this crap straightened out ASAP!!
