If it improves the spectacle of racing then I'm all for it; there's no point having 24 850bhp cars following line-a-stern... effectively having a push to pass button should improve the racing spectacle but of course that may not be the case; all the recent changes to the car design hasn't amounted to a hill of beans when it comes to overtaking!

Don't take this the wrong way, but, if you don't care about the HP, and you want to watch lots of overtaking, then why are you wasting your time watching F1? Why not follow GP2 or FR3.5?

I do watch F2, BTCC, DTM and American Le Mans Series, I am a four wheeled motorsport fan in general, as much as the lack of overtaking bugs me, I still love the sport of F1!

Trust me; if I didn't have a love for Formula 1, I wouldn't post on an F1 forum let alone give up my time to moderate this forum!

Many of you are pretending as if you KNOW what you are talking about.

I promise you, in 2013, in terms of speed and performance, you will not be able to tell the difference between the two engines on most tracks.

Always so cynical :hehe: , whenever I say the P-word I get slapped :( .

That's why I never use it - I threw it out of my vocabulary.

No I meant 'police' and then it is presumed I'll want to perform a CS, gives me kinda a BOOST like the 2013 reg's, man that was close :hehe: .

Unless CURSE is markedly more effective than the current spec, if they follow through with the plan to reduce fuel consumption 35%, 2013 will turn into a fuel economy contest rather than a race. Next stop: pinewood derby.

 Good one and yes the fuel reduction is absurd :irked: !

IMHO, what the teams want are engineers involved in fuel reduction, because innovations in that area will have an enormous application in the whole car industry, which is developing in that direction and any advance or patent in this matter will have a big economical reward.
I have little doubt about engineers resolving the problems, as they have done many times previously with other restrictions in F1. They will achieve, little by little, that the fuel reduction rules don’t affect the performance of the cars.
