I moved last week into what had become a gully that cars can not get out of. -15c in Wheatley at the moment. Wednesday I am supposed to be heading home for christmas. small hope of that happening I think.

If yesterday is anything to go by, avoid the A34 and M40... took 5 hours to do a two hour trip.

I might just make a break for the M4 and hope that is clear all the way. I will even have to pay the Severn Bridge toll if I have to lol

Here's what we got, someone almost went into the side of my car but the snow piled up and stopped it hitting. Never managed to get winter tyres yet, one supplier had their roof collapse because of the weight of snow and most others have run out.

Here's what we got, someone almost went into the side of my car but the snow piled up and stopped it hitting. Never managed to get winter tyres yet, one supplier had their roof collapse because of the weight of snow and most others have run out.

Looks like half a foot to me - we get that much and then some a handful of times every year. On average once a year we get a duesy, like 2-3 feet + in one or two days/nights straight. Then you won't see any cars anymore, just some big piles of snow.
