Instead of trying to be cute you could actually enlighten me and post some info about him being a businessman. I did some research and couldn't come up with the business he's running apart from his charities and environmental and architectural causes he's taken an interest in.

He's not even running them except for having his name attached too them.
He is not a businessman in the sense of what a true businessman is in that he does not run any sort of business. He just toss's around his family's money for good causes and nothing more. No disrespect towards him meant either but the clarity is that he is NOT a true businessman  .

Bernie certainly is a shrewd guy,

It's not the big teams like Ferrari and Mclaren who I'm bothered about, they have money and the means to make it, its the small but still pretty decent teams like Williams and Sauber who are struggling for money, it annoys me seeing Williams take a pay driver.

Ultimately, the "walk away threat" seems the best Ron and Luca can come up with, since the value of f1 crashes without Ferrari and Mclaren. Although, walking away is only particularly powerful with the big teams (as long as f1 remains better to compete in than other motorsports) and any rival series set up will seemingly massively advantage the bigger teams in f1 unless someone neutral sets one up.

Hmm, its into the realms of fantasy, but I can't help wonder, say if Branson effectively undercut Bernie, sets up a rival series which offers more money to the teams, tracks shouldn't be a problem, I guess its getting the tv rights and contract issues with broadcasters no longer paying FOM for f1 coverage and paying the new series instead.

No need to get your collective knickers in knots resident forum queen & ol' faithful Tex, just a friendly jab (think of it as my fiat bambino).

Here's what will come up with basically any Google search on the Prince and business. Dutchy Originals organic food is a multi-million dollar business setup and run by Prince Charles. Been going quite a few years.

It's owned and run by Waitrose, not Prince Chuck.

Na mate, Waitrose invested recently in Dutchy, for the priority rights to sell their products - nice try but no banana

The partnership gives Waitrose, Duchy Originals' largest and most long-standing client, the exclusive right to originate, manufacture, distribute and sell Duchy Originals products in the UK.
They even renamed the line to Duchy Originals from Waitrose. The deal gave Duchy a lifeline after years of slump sales - not very flattering for Chuck's credentials as businessman. Anyway, this is nothing else than a total take-over (Chuck is really not involved in the day-to-day operation) - Nestle does this all the time and then the lines get blurred even further until it's all one and the same company. Chuck is the figurehead and he cashes in for his charities, no businessman in my book or anybody else's except you spanky.

As far as I am concerned, F1 is going down the tubes. 1.5 litres to please a few tree huggers is quite absurd. Efforts to reduce costs but major rule changes each year that escalate them.

And as far as I am concerned, Bernie the poison dwarf should be sent back to the fishing fleet. The money he has made out of F1 is as obscene as he is.

The Queen will outlive Prince Charles, William will be king.

Or so one hopes
There could be a deal on the books where Chuck agrees to stay king for just 10 years or so and Liz retires 'early' - then Bill takes over after the 10 years are up.
