They are in, you watch because they are that good..

Edward Norton is just great no matter what. I also love anything Michael Caine has ever done. Jim Carrey too (I know he's had some klunckers, but when he's funny, he's just brilliant). And I'll throw in Brad Pitt for the beefcake factor.

Robert DeNiro... the quintessential actor.

I'm happy to say Robert Downey jr. Especially given the fact that he was completely on the skids for years.

Johnny Depp... although some of his movie choices are fa shizzle, he's a talented actor.

I'll reflect a bit and post back with the actresses list.

Where the wimmens at, DD?

Good list, though! Even if you did drift into old fart category a bit at the end :P

I simply followed your pattern and listed just the XY-chromosome carriers, for now...

Old farts, yes - but they deserve mentioning in my opinion - I will watch any Omar Sharif or Toshiro Mifune movie. And when you look at the list in its entirety, there aren't many young actors listed at all, the youngest probably being Matt Damon, most of the rest would probably qualify as old farts. Though Johnny Depp (who would be on my list of course, but was already mentioned before) I would never call old fart :cloud9:

For some inexplicable reason I assumed that it was limited to "living" actors. Maybe because SV's original list included only... what's the male version word for "starlett"?

You've got some good ones there DD.. but aren't we being a bit excessive? I think Marlon Brando is one of the sexiest looking men that ever lived, he didn't age well though. Perhaps that's the price for all that handsomeness. I've spread my good looks over the course of my life. :D

What do you mean by excessive? In which sense?

Oopsy daisy! I did intend to list some women, but somehow got carried away with my XY chromosome beefcakes. Here's some gals that fit the category:
Joan Cusack, Mary Steenburgen, Dianne Wiest, Diane Keaton (which reminds me, Michael Keaton is another much watch), Meryl, Katherine Heigl, Sally Field, Julia Roberts and Arnolds partner in Kindergarten cop.

As to the oldies, Omar Shariff is old, old school (plus I hate that gap in his front teeth). Paul, Clint, and Rob are more in the Steve McQueen category...timeless!

Good Morning, Vietnam? Jakob the Liar? Good Will Hunting? Dead Poets Society? The World According to Garp?
There are some gems, some fine performances in his palmares.
