Tis the season people!

I absolutely love Christmas! Here, for your enjoyment, are two stories of Christmas vs Sennaville (and sister):

Horrid Christmas memory: Imagine a Seventies Christmas, two little girls aged 5 and 7 in matching brown turtlenecks, and wallpaper dresses. Both girls have a severe aversion to wool, so there is much yanking of the horrid polo-necks away from the neck action, but that is just an aside. What is actually taking centre stage for the sisters this Christmas is the amazingly large, nay HUGE, matching packages under the tree from aunty and uncle. How many hours were spent speculating on what was under the packaging? Many, many hours! Two elaborate doll-houses, maybe? Complete with all the fixings? Matching horses that we could see-saw back and forth on, taking us away from our seventies wool misery? Aahh! The possibilities!

Christmas morning, we woke up, ripped open all those other silly presents *must get to big present*, dived on big presents much like shark on prey. I can remember what happened next as clearly as if it was last Christmas. I looked at her, she looked at me. If WTF was around in the seventies, our expressions would have shouted....WTF.

Our uncle had carved two chairs out of wood.

Lovely Christmas memory: Two sisters are now grown up and brother has joined the ranks, actually, we are zipping twenty years into the future and nieces and nephews are also in the picture. It's snows all of Christmas Eve, sisters wake brothers and offspring, yank them out of bed up to hills and spend hours sledding on hills at midnight.

Share your Christmas memories!!
