Be interesting to see if Alonso accepts Ferrari comes first if/when its his turn to move aside for a team mate. Methinks his understanding of 'the team comes first' will vanish.

It's funny this should come from you. The one time that Hamilton has been given a team order, he refused it. He was told to let Alonso out first in quali...and wouldn't do it. You remember that fiasco right? So while I think you have a point in this particular Alonso hatred, your point has already been proven in relation to your hero Hamilton. Neither of them is cool with being the good team mate in my opinion...but then with Alonso it's only an opinion, with Hamilton it's a proven fact.

Actually Lewis explained this 'fiasco' already? He said he did look back to see if Alonso was gaining but instead Alonso was quite some way behind, thus he stayed ahead as the margin was very close for both of them to get a final time in. It was a simple misunderstanding which became a huge deal for the whole team in the end. Alonso carried forward that misunderstanding and caused Lewis to not have the option to qualify for his best time by his dirty delaying tactics in the pitlane.

From then on, it was open war, and Alonso was whining at every race weekend about something or the other, boo boo bee boo Lewis is favoured boo boo hoo. Complaining about the rookie kid who he's supposed to be mentoring. Pathetic.

We want a sport of course. With all parties allowed to race for a win and not too many stupid rules.

Unlimited use of engines,testing,none of these tilkebores,etc etc

I didnt start watching F1 coz I felt bad about HRTs Virigins couldnt keep up with ferraris&maccas,or coz of going "green"

Boring is part of sportsdom...... A boring race is as sportsy as an exciting race. So I guess F1 wants to be a sport, but it needs the spectacle or it would get scheduled right after hammer-throw events.

All parties allowed to race for the win...... i'm thinking HRT and Virgin would definitely like that. In order to allow for that, however... they'd need to get rid of half the field. Have artificial rain strategically occuring... and make the front runners drive in reverse.

Stupid rules... ah well... guess they got tired of the engineers outsmarting the rule makers. hehe

No, they're not. They never enforced the team orders rule in practice, this is being honest. The banning of team orders and not enforcing it was the wimpy part.

I can only think of the 100k fine to Ferrari?

At anyrate, it had also reached the point where the FIA themselves couldn't enforce them, as they had set a legal precedent by not enforcing previous usages of team orders. And of course the vagueness of the rule and the concept of coded messages made the rule pretty much unenforceable anyway.

Pah! Its a rubbish move, by a mealy mouthed, half arsed FIA. Like the other rule changes.Ooh you cant go off the track, ooh you cant move direction, Ooh you musnt touch another car, ooh you cant overtake. Well they'll get what they want, a procession where the only overtaking is when a driver is ordered aside by his team for the favoured one to get through. Great I cant wait
