I doubt Alonso knew about it, look at his reaction after winning the race.

i dont like people who are adamant he did it as much as those who think he didnt, we'll never know.

Hey, we shouldn't be arguing in the off season, I gotta spot posting on contentious threads,

I can list my reasoning, though I don't think I'll bother. Those who are adamant he did it surely just fall down once someone points out correlation does not equal causation.

Now seriously, I find totally unfair that Flavio and Fernando don’t receive A N Y T H I N G. They deserve, at least, the same amount of money than Piquet, if not more. Especially the father. Did he actually do anything?

Fernando received a race win mate.

Off course, I was just kidding. None of them deserves anything but been severely punished for what they did. The Pickets included.

and why does flavio derserve anything?!, good thing your not a judge in a court! he could have endangered piquet, the crowd, marshalls with pieces of carbon fibre flying everywhere, plus i do admit like tex i thought it was a driver error

I was just kidding. I knew immediately that race had been manipulated. Alonso’s strategy was crazy and fitted so well with the accident… I had no doubt at all. I’m an Alonso fan but thinks are as they are. I’m not a fanatic.

Why is it Alonso gets away with everything? Is it because he's good at lying? Course he knew about it. Nelsinho I feel sorry for.

I was so obviously kidding that I find really weird you take it seriously. I don’t agree with your indulgence with Nelsinho. He wasn’t punished at all. He said it, in any case, in revenge for have being fired not for the good of the sport. Now he deserves any compensation? What for? Does he deserve our respect? Sorry, but I can’t understand that.

I'm also certain he did but it was most likely easier to prove wrongs by Briatore and the team. Nothing different with law enforcement and attorneys in the sense that they will persue the easiest infraction that can be proven and will lead to a conviction and/or fine.

As I’ve said, I’m an Alonso fan and one of the things that I know about him is that he isn’t stupid. If he didn’t know it before the race, he knew it after it. Because he only had to add 2 to 2.
The real question is that for supremo’s gang, the only target was Briatore. Even Nelsinho confessing his culpability was absolved.

Does not really matter anymore does it?

IMO it surely does matter. A driver has admitted that he deliberately crashed his car. He endangered lives doing that. That driver has implicated Briatore and Symonds. Let's be clear, this was a premeditated action. Two things should happen, an investigation and, for those who have a case to answer, a trial. Innocent until proven guilty or they confess.

Piquet was the confessed "trigger man" and he gets an apology and money? Now that is ludicrous. I hope he gets charged in Singapore and thrown in jail, and the Singapore government can get hold of whatever money he gets from his Renault payout. Whoever agreed at the FiA to give him immunity for his testimony should be sacked/punished.

I understand your anger but unfortunately things work this way in F1. When the responsible of enforcing the rules are the first in changing and breaking them constantly, it isn’t weird that the rest of people do the same.

Jack, there is a way for you to quote 5 separate people at one time, rather than reposting as frequently as you do. :wavey:

Sorry Big. I’m a little bit clumsy and I’m still adapting myself to the forum. I would try to do things better in this aspect.

You believe that justifies what Piquet did? And he deserved an apology and money? I can’t agree with you.
