I like the fact they are using the proper Lotus logo, It looks the part unlike the Lotus Racing effort this year, their logo looked well s***!

There are 3 things that have gone through my mind:

1. Exactly how much money does the Malaysian government want to waste in Formula 1 (Proton owns Lotus, and is a minor sponsor on the "other" Lotus team)....plus Petronas is the main sponsor of Mercedes F1.
2. Given that all Lotus road cars have Toyota sourced engines at the moment......does this possibly signal a move to Renault power (as that would make commercial sense)
3. Wow.....the JPS livery was and always will be one of the best......and it's back!

Well they are going to build their own indy car engines maybe they will eventually build their own road car engines so partnering Renault wont be a conflict. But still this doesnt seem like an ordinary sponsorship considering they own part of the team. I think they are calling it such until who has the rights to race as the constructor Lotus is finalised.

That was my first thought when I saw the Renault (Lotus) design, the red really does not work with the black and gold!

So instead of a GREAT name coming back into F1; we have two companies dragging this GREAT name through the mud, should have allowed Prodrive in instead, clearly marked as Aston Martin, Dave Richards has long been associated with the Aston Martin name!

The red totally clash's with the black/gold livery yet atleast they are obscure enough to be dominated by the black/gold.

Argh, this is so confusing. Exactly what links do 'Team Lotus' (ie, the team we had in F1 this year) and Proton have? Cause surely the powers that be surely can't be too keen on having two aesthetically identical teams on the grid, owned by the same company. Or is 'Team Lotus' owned by Tony Fernades?
