Victory after a clean, tough and fair fight is what, I think, we like most in Formula 1, even defeat in such conditions can be afford easily. In fact we need to believe in it because if we don’t, it doesn’t worth anything, but for experience we know that when power and big money plays a role at any sport, sooner or later the priorities change and people surrounding the races begin to confound their own interests with those of the Formula 1. Global diffusion, higher audiences, reduced costs, more control … and little by little they elaborate a list of preferences. Emotion until the last race, a new champion every year, a new team better than the same, this champion better than this other, new teams for having more control over the rest of them … In conclusion business and marketing considerations. They start then changing continuously rules and taking small but efficient decisions in order to reach their targets, and things begin to be different to what they apparently are, and fair play… What the hell is fair play?
We know those things very well, but we are Formula 1 fans and, as I’ve said before, we need to believe and, we do it. Life is like it is and we can’t do anything to change it, let’s then forget all of that and just have a little fun. Probably next year we’re going to live even greater emotions than this one.
I think this is a healthy and respectfully decision for some of us and for others it’s a decision that they even don´t need to take.
Do you agree with that? What do you thing people around the Formula 1 is doing wrong? What would you like to change?
Sorry for my English and for the speech.

Nice outlook of F1. I believe it's a pretty healthy sport right now, when compared to situations just recently under Max Mosley. Todt is a silent watcher (like Batman :hehe: ) and that's the way it should be, as the ruler shouldn't be starring the show!

In terms of the sport, we have one of the best season in F1 history (claimed by insiders as well) in 2010. I wouldn't change much...maybe on a personal preference if I had the power to change anything I wanted, I'd put Alonso in a Toro Rosso for the next 5 years. :hehe:

On a more serious note, F1 is a show. I see it as a tug of war between the commercial side and the business side (teams), the commercial part wants it to be a good show for the fans, and the teams want domination and good showing to get in the revenue. It's a fascinating war in itself, but lets face it without the presence of at least some politics (whether we like it or not) the show will wither.
