I think that only Schumacher and Alonso deserve being placed in that list. Some others could deserve it in a future.

I think 8 drivers more could be placed in this list since it is a TOP 10. :D

Yes but it’s supposedly a list about the top ten 21st century drivers. I suppose we must let some place for others to come. If it was about the last decade it could be different, but thinking that drivers like Kobayashi or Kubica should be considerate at the top ten of the whole century sounds a little bit exaggerated. Probably both of them won’t be remembered at all, unless they do something much better than they’ve done until now.

Robert, I'd really appreciate it if you were able to rank them in order, else I can't do anything with your vote and it won't be counted.

ok no problem in order

1.schumacher
2.hamilton
3.alonso
4.vettel
5.haikknen
6.raikkonen
7.button

Schumacher
Alonso
Raikkonen
Hamilton
Hakkinen (was at his best in the 90's hence why he's relatively low)
Coulthard
Barrichello
Button
Vettel
Kubica

The last few places were relatively tough to fill for me, i mean you could make cases for several drivers (even guys like Ralf Schumacher!) depending on what criteria you set. My logic also put newer drivers further down than they arguably should be - i haven't accounted for potential or future achievements and what have you.

Best of the century?!
How about calling it best of the decade. Makes more sense.

1. M. Schumacher
2. F. Alonso
3. S. Vettel
4. J. Button
5. L. Hamilton
6. F. Massa
7. M. Webber
8. R. Kubica
9. D. Coulthard
10. K. Raikkonen

Obviously, you have to put Michael at the top and Freddy second. I don't see how anyone can have that differently. After that I tried to award longevity in F1 over the decade with an emphasis on guys who started in lower teams and then worked their way up to the better teams. Hamilton doesn't quite fit that bill, but he's quick when the car is right and he isn't on the radio complaining. I gave David number nine because while I never thought he was championship material, he was obviously a very good and consistent driver--granted in the 2000s he was on the back side of his career. Kimi was quick but I never liked his lack of motivation (or my perception of that lack) and he didn't seem to have the ability to rally the troops around him--something I think is vital in this sport.
So there ya go.

There aren't that many of us I'm afraid, and not many who will go to the trouble of writing out their ten best drivers.

Can you, or anyone else, estimate how many active users are about?

Yes best of the decade makes much more sense.

But the Michael and Freddie bit... :nono: Sorry have to disagree there.

Haha.....ok. We are all entitled to our opinion, but how in the hell to do you put Lewis and Juan ahead of Michael? Michael won five championships in the decade! And I am not even a fan of the guy. But you gotta respect 5 championships!
And you put Freddy 8th?! 3rd or 4th and maybe I can understand your logic....but 8th!
Question......How do you put Juan 2nd for the decade? I like Juan, but...c'mon. Were you drinking when you made your list? ;)
