No thanks!! I hated the "more than 1 tyre supplier" time. It is very frustrating when a team builds a great car but the tyre is rubbish. And vice versa.

Plus, the issue with favouritsm, Bridgestone tailored their tyres for Ferrari and the rest of the teams on Bridge's got leftovers from Ferrari. Ridiculous.

Having 1 tyre manufacturer equalises the field more. We're trying to give every driver as level a platform as possible for them to show their talent aren't we.

No.

The cars shouldn't be equal - that's the point. Trying to equalise the cars has also created this issue with overtaking.

It's much better in my opinion to have different tires, suited to different tracks and different drivers.

Youre an Aussie Azza its TYRES  and It should be one tyre make as it then means its Team Vs Team not Team Tyre Vs Team Tyre.

Its like two classes of racing.

I know it's THAT. But I'm really OCD about this red squiggly line. :irked:

Everything we've been doing so far? Budget limits for top teams, standardising the engine specs, changing the rules nearly every year?? It's not all about costs, mind you.

The manufacturers want different of course - marketing their brand with domination. It's a tug of war between the teams + sponsors and the rest of F1, which is what makes it frustrating and exciting at the same time. :D

The cost-cutting is madness, though, really. The sport isn't all about the drivers and the rules should never make it so that they all have equal equipment. It should be about engineering and innovation, as well as driver skill. Part of the challenge is to build the best car and the teams are definitely more important to the sport than the drivers. If they want a spec-series, they're welcome to go to IRL, GP2, F2 etc.

F1 isnt exclusive enough anymore because of these budget cuts. Any company that has been clocking 20mil+ in profits can get in.

Why is it that we dont see Coca Cola coming in? Google? Sony? all of these companies can literally buy their way into F1 and yet they dont feel the need to show that their company is the best at whatever it does.

F1 needs to reach out to these companies because thats when the spectacle of racing will really begin. Yes, we will see more Tilkedromes but think about the RACING. Cant you imagine a young gun Coca Cola driver chasing down Mark Webber to win best drink company? It would be spectacular!

If Coca-Cola were interested in F1, they'd have to be very careful. At present, Red Bull are the top team and Coca-Cola would need to buy in to a team capable of challenging Red Bull either immediately or within a very short period, otherwise it would have a negative effect.

Personally, I just think they should bring back tobacco advertising... ;)
