‘He still hasn’t congratulated me’ – Vettel on Alonso
New World Champion Sebastian Vettel has claimed that he is yet to receive congratulations for his achievement from title rival Fernando Alonso, who went into the Abu Dhabi season finale widely regarded as the favourite for overall victory.
15 points behind prior to the weekend, Vettel’s championship win was sealed by winning his second consecutive Grand Prix – and third of this year’s final four – as the Ferrari driver struggled home to seventh at Yas Marina.
“He still hasn’t congratulated me,” the Red Bull driver said when asked by news agency AFP, before going on to describe his title-winning feelings.
“I’ve been hoping all the time that I don't wake up from this! It's all a bit unreal for me - it seems my face was on the front page of every German newspaper; I find it all a bit hard to take in because, at the end of the day, I’m just a normal boy.”

Yes on here he congratulated red Bull and (a little grudgingly perhaps) Vettel. I guess he hasnt done it personally to Vettel. Doing it on the camera is a bit of a different thing, its playing a game. Like when you deny knowledge of any wrong doing in your team, when you're really well aware. One face for the cameras, one real face. Some people are good at this and some cant do it. maybe its a current F1 hot shot skill requirement. Not one that impresses me.......but thats just me.
