No I think most were mistakes but the 1997 European Grand Prix incident with Villeneuve was for sure one of those ruthless acts. He did not pull it off though so Villeneuve ended up having the last laugh & MS egg on the face bigtime.

So Adelaide 95 wasnt a ruthless act? Schumi made a mistake which led to Hill coming up for the pass, Schumi saw Hill passing him and taking the title with him so turned in on him. pretty calculated to me and i was only 15 sitting on pit straight! cant say schumi had many cheers from the crowd ofcourse he wasnt a Ferrari herder back then ;)

Do yoy remember when Senna clinched his second title at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix after deliberately colliding with title rival Alain Prost at the first corner. :?:

Do you remember 89? Karma's a bitch.

Bud I think you need to take off your Ferrari hate glasses.

For some reason i didnt hate Kimi winning the title....does that make you feel better? although i did hate seing Jean Todt with his smug grin

Back to topic though...

Or maybe not! I'm tired of all these conspiracy theories when there's not a shred of evidence.

Bottom line is: McLaren screwed up royally this season with the spy scandal, with the driver situation, i.e., that love-hate triangle FA-RD-LH (or should we add Anthony to that?) and with the coaching/strategy for LH in the final stages of the championship.

Given all this, I tip my hat for their performance on track throughout the season which was mostly achieved under hardship - great reliability, very competitive car.

Yes McLaren did screw up with the coaching of Lewis, they shouldnt have taken the risk and gone for the win in China, and they should have told him to not race Kimi Fernando and Massa in Brazsil, let them go just come 4th! but in saying that i dont think Lewis would have known Ferrari would have been so dominant and he probably didnt want to risk Fernando being ahead of him if a Ferrari had any technical problems.

Well Ok maybe two then. My memory is fading a bit.
So you were that pimple faced w***er in front of me on the pit straight who would not sit down. :)

Schumi did plenty of bigheaded stupid things, Adelaide  , Jerez  , Monaco(the parking slip up  ),Monaco (putting it in the wall in the wet off the start trying to pass damon  -forget which year) breaking his legs outbreaking himself cos Irvine got ahead. Running into the back of Coulthard then trying to punch him  The list goes on, and he was not a rookie for any of these.

You named 5 racechick in MS career. I just named 2 in the most important races in LH career.
You keep telling us how good he is in spite of his rookeiness now you’re telling us he can make mistakes because he is a rookie. Cannot have it both ways’ racechick.

I am looking forward to many more behemoth headed moments like this from Hammy in the coming years.

I named 5 of the top of my head, there are plenty more where they came from. LH is more than "good", he's made the best start of anyone ever in F1. Before you tell me he had a good car. I know that. So did 3 other very good drivers and as a rookie he came 2nd. For many of Schumachers wins he had the best car by a country mile and a mediocre driver in the other ferrari.
I didnt ever say Lewis doesnt make mistakes :? He made a couple, I was the first to admit that ,most drivers make way more than that in a season and without all the pressure Lewis was under.
Oh just thought of another Schumi one. Stalling on the grid in the title deciding race :lol: pissed my pants at that one!

Could not have happend to a better bloke.
If he did not think & act as if he was God I would probably like the boy, but sorry he is just too much for me.

Going back to the original theme of the thread...

The question is why Ferrari have to be so political anyway - why don't they just concentrate on building faster cars?

I did but, there are people around here who take everything as a personnel attack.

yeah one member named Mikep99 is a shining example

Mike99, you just did yourself proud! You complained about it, then reacted to it.

My memory is crap so I just looked it up. Good old google.
"It was 1991 where he made a stunning Formula One debut, qualifying an astonishing seventh in a Jordan for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa"

Now let me see 1991 Jordan V 2007 McLaren :?::?::?: Not much difference

I wonder how Hammy would have went this year in his first race in a RBR, TR, williams or Spyker.
How is that podium going any ideas :?::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Clue - you have no clue.

I think it is more like making an informed comment then responding to another comment.
