Nice post and as a MS fan I understood what you were alluding to. Aswell welcome to the forum as new blood and opinion's are the heart and soul of any forum. Not a 'private club' by any means its just that some members make the new guys/gals feel like they are intruding on hallowed ground if they do not like or agree with the opinion of the new member and then pull out the 'troll card' . If I'm not mistaken we were all trolls at one point in time right?

I know we've probably offended you, but don't talk down about yourself.

It's just that your first post and you listed everything as fact. You need to come across in a way where stating your opinion. Saying "I think" or "In my opinion" generally does this well.

Also it would be nice if you could introduce yourself first, in the introduction section.

Clarity at it's best .

This is my first time in a forum. It isn’t easy for me to explain myself in English. When I wrote my first statement I just tried to be clear and concise putting all the facts in a row, no matter how can it sound, because I thought this was a place open to argument and debate to a lot of people. But I find it much more like a private club with no many members that can welcome you or not.
If we can start from the beginning just pointing out the Michael Schumacher incident it could be easier to generate a real debate. Please, give me a chance. Spend a few minutes of your time taking a look at that incident (you can find it at the last statement of page 4) and if no one of you thinks that they are simulating or acting I promise that I will quit immediately this forum. I´m not a fanatic, possibly I´m a little bit crazy but I try to be honest and fair in my argumentations, but I don’t like to make you waste your time.

Thank you Gregg. Nice from you. I really don`t understand the meaning of the word troll but I suppose that all of us have a bit of everything at any time in our lives.
Have you seen again the Schumi incident. What are you thinking about it?

Yes mate, I've watched the Schumcher spin a few times. (I also dreamed about it last night - it was as clear as the replay) But as a sincere Vettel fan, and with a sudden liking towards Schumacher (shudders) and the few races I've seen, Schumacher did not spin purpose.

No need to quit the forum - I'm still here despite my blatant defence of Vettel in Turkey and Silverstone - not to mention Neslon Piquet last year.

I think I'm the opposite to you - I tend to see racing incidents and controversies differently. Like Senna in '89 and '90, and Schumacher in '94. I am only a recent fan (2007, as per Texmix ), but I've watched a lot of footage, and have read a lot of material, so I believe I'm not one to be dismissed too quickly.

But too be honest, because one fan has been watching F1 for 30 years (Tex), and the other for or a couple of years (myself), does not mean that one is a better fan than the other. If Formula One and Grand Prix racing has a special place in your heart, and there is nothing that you'd rather be doing than reading about it, watching it, talking about it, dreaming about it, thinking about it - then you ARE a true fan no matter how long you've been watching the sport.

However, you have to watch how you express your opinions on a public forum. Rather than stating speculation as "fact" - say "this is what I thought" or "this is my opinion." Never refer to anything as FACT unless it really is FACT. (Hence my debate on evolution). Because you will always get mud on your face.

At the end of the day, you have an opinion - I have an opinion, and everyone else seems to have a different opinion to mine. That is why we're here.

And as a neutral observer? Nobody is going to blame Vettel, in fact I thing he deserves it at least as much as anyother. I still remember when he had an absurd drive through penalty when he was leading a race. I don't remember which.

Hmmm - it's happened to me again, while I'm in the middle of writing something, it seems to post itself...

As a neutral observer I saw a racing incident, which effected the outcome of the race. But it was no conspiracy. Did you see the race? Mark Webber crashed into a wall, causing his left-rear tire to briefly light up in a flame. He damaged his rear tires, and I'm sure a puncture was going to eventuate from it, if he pitted any later.

Ferrari made a strategy mistake - which I don't think was Chris Dyer's call. That's what cost them the race.

I have watched the video, and I've watched the incident again on my 46 inch plasma TV not relying on YouTube, since I still had not erased the recording on the PVR. I see a driver under heavy breaking during the turn, perhaps with sand/dust on the track and certainly with tires that were not warm, begin to lose his rear end and instictlively turn his steeringwheel to compensate and try to keep the car from spinning... to no avail.

That's all I see.

I do not see a multinational inter/intra corporate fantastic Hollywood screenplay of a conspiracy to rob Fernando Alonso of the 2010 WDC. As a matter of fact, some laps later I see Alonso implement a poor pit stratergy, then being unable to execute a badly needed overtake on the ocar in front of him, while still needing to overtake two or three additional cars to win the title.

Thank you for your sincere opinion. I think you have a bit of an obsesion with Fernando Alonso. I don't think he was the only damaged I think Mark Webber got his options ruined aswell.

The race was Alonso's to lose. If the goal was also to take Webber's title away, then your claim makes even less sense, as all RB would have to do is have a mechanic slip prime tire in his option tire change or not completely tighten a nut... or ... or... lots of things that would have destroyed his race, not put him back out on track.

Vettel won, we'll be racing again in 4 months, that's not too long and the grieving will pass and you'll have forgotten all about this tough loss and be full of optimism and hope for the 2011 season.

Well you keep reminding us all how you've been following F1 since the dawn of time, while others, like myself have only been following since 2007. Does that make me any less of a fan than you are? I know Gaz thinks so.

I know a thing or two. Formula One is constantly in my thoughts and dreams and it's all I think about. Anyone see my article about the Red Bull Junior Team?
