Did it occur to anyone that Ferrari fed bad info to McLaren on purpose? They knew they had a couple of loose lipped drivers to make it work.

If someone could evaluate the time lines, it might be clear. The Mclaren drivers where just to hot to all of a sudden be also rans. Ferreari not only won because of this influx of bad info.

They also injected enough cancer into the team to dissolve it.

I did but, there are people around here who take everything as a personnel attack.

Schumi did plenty of bigheaded stupid things, Adelaide , Jerez , Monaco(the parking slip up ),Monaco (putting it in the wall in the wet off the start trying to pass damon -forget which year) breaking his legs outbreaking himself cos Irvine got ahead. Running into the back of Coulthard then trying to punch him The list goes on, and he was not a rookie for any of these.

No I think most were mistakes but the 1997 European Grand Prix incident with Villeneuve was for sure one of those ruthless acts. He did not pull it off though so Villeneuve ended up having the last laugh & MS egg on the face bigtime.

Do you remember when Senna won his second title at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix after deliberately colliding with title rival Alain Prost at the first corner.

Or maybe not! I'm tired of all these conspiracy theories when there's not a shred of evidence.

Bottom line is: McLaren screwed up royally this season with the spy scandal, with the driver situation, i.e., that love-hate triangle FA-RD-LH (or should we add Anthony to that?) and with the coaching/strategy for LH in the final stages of the championship.

Given all this, I tip my hat for their performance on track throughout the season which was mostly achieved under hardship - great reliability, very competitive car.
