Did it occur to anyone that Ferrari fed bad info to McLaren on purpose? They knew they had a couple of loose lipped drivers to make it work.

If someone could evaluate the time lines, it might be clear. The Mclaren drivers where just to hot to all of a sudden be also rans. Ferreari not only won because of this influx of bad info.

They also injected enough cancer into the team to dissolve it.

I did but, there are people around here who take everything as a personnel attack.
I think it must be that they are trying to convince themselves that what they say is true & cannot accept anything contrary to the fact.

Classics quotes:
"DD just look past your McLaren grudge for once"

You don't have a Ferrari grudge I take it

"think you Schumi sheep just have him too far up your bottom you forget he is just a human and there was better!"

You bag a 7 times WDC but then exhault the rookie that NEARLY won one WDC in the best (?) car except for his big headed stupidity

When you read your posts and then you match them up with those pearlers - All I can say is: what colour is that kettle mate ?:lol:

Schumi did plenty of bigheaded stupid things, Adelaide  , Jerez  , Monaco(the parking slip up  ),Monaco (putting it in the wall in the wet off the start trying to pass damon  -forget which year) breaking his legs outbreaking himself cos Irvine got ahead. Running into the back of Coulthard then trying to punch him  The list goes on, and he was not a rookie for any of these.

Famous last thoughts of a behemoth headed rookie?

Place: China
Scenario: Leading the race on completely F***ed tyres & Kimi coming up fast behind you.

"I don’t have to win this race but I am the greatest that ever lived, I will win the race and the championship today.
My tyres are completely F***ed.
I will be going into the pits any lap now to change them.
Kimi is coming up fast behind me.
He is not going to pass me on the track I am the greatest, I will shred the tyres to oblivion trying to keep him behind, with my skill I can handle it.
I don’t have to be careful & slow down coming into the pits, I am the greatest.
Oh s***.

Place: Brazil
Scenario: Overtaken at the start by Fernando.

I don’t have to win this race but I am the greatest that ever lived, I will win the race and the championship today.
FA is not going to pass me on the track; I will show that Spanish git.
Oh s***.

And the rest is history.

You named 5 racechick in MS career. I just named 2 in the most important races in LH career.
You keep telling us how good he is in spite of his rookeiness now you’re telling us he can make mistakes because he is a rookie. Cannot have it both ways’ racechick.

I am looking forward to many more behemoth headed moments like this from Hammy in the coming years.

I wouldnt call the list that Racechick mentioned "mistakes" they were ruthless acts to secure the title! Schumi knew exactly what he was doing when he made those dirty moves!

No I think most were mistakes but the 1997 European Grand Prix incident with Villeneuve was for sure one of those ruthless acts. He did not pull it off though so Villeneuve ended up having the last laugh & MS egg on the face bigtime.

Do you remember when Senna won his second title at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix after deliberately colliding with title rival Alain Prost at the first corner. :?:

Bud I think you need to take off your Ferrari hate glasses.

Back to topic though...

Or maybe not! I'm tired of all these conspiracy theories when there's not a shred of evidence.

Bottom line is: McLaren screwed up royally this season with the spy scandal, with the driver situation, i.e., that love-hate triangle FA-RD-LH (or should we add Anthony to that?) and with the coaching/strategy for LH in the final stages of the championship.

Given all this, I tip my hat for their performance on track throughout the season which was mostly achieved under hardship - great reliability, very competitive car.
