He's annoyed me again....forget the finger, but as soon as the brat completed 75% race distance (assuring he gets full 25 points) he starts radioing in complaining about the lack of light. I wonder how he was able to steer his car around the track then if it was complete darkness out there suddenly after 75% completion! :rolleyes:

Karma is a bitch eh. :hehe::hehe:

Yeah it sure is. :whip::hehe::cloud9::clap:

Yep, hence why Vettel's engine blew in that race. :D

I think I'm going to start another thread to neutralise this one

"Is anyone going to buy a Vettel idol for their shrine??" :cloud9:

Well I was contemplating on saving up to buy this:

http://f1store.formula1.com/stores/f1/products/product_details.aspx?pid=84599:cloud9:

But that's over $4,800. :( I'm 3K in debt and do not have a car yet so it will have to wait. Also the fact that its over 2 months of my salary means I'll have to wait. Hopefully one day I'll see it on ebay. :crying:

Something just clicked to me which I read a couple of months ago. Vettel nearly lost his finger in his junior formula days in 2005.

Injury to sideline Vettel for weeks

World Series by Renault and Formula Three Euro Series title contender Sebastian Vettel has had his championship hopes dashed after almost losing his finger in a crash that will likely put him out of action for several weeks.

The accident occurred in the first World Series race at a wet Spa-Francorchamps when Vettel spun at the top of Eau Rouge and hit the tyre wall backwards. A piece of wreckage from the crash hit his finger, cutting through the bone.

While doctors were able to save his finger, Vettel is not expected to be back in the cockpit for some weeks, effectively ending his hopes of a title challenge in both the World Series and the F3 Euro Series, the latter of which he currently holds second place in the championship.

The German only came into the World Series at the previous round at Misano as a replacement for Colin Fleming at Carlin, but after claiming two wins on his debut, he threw himself immediately into contention for the title.

Furthermore, Vettel will now not be able to race at next weekend's Formula Three Marlboro Masters at Zandvoort, a race he went in as one of the favourites to win.

It was interesting that he did make it to the Marlboro Masters event at Zandvoort only one week after the accident, where he finished 6th, surprising everyone who was following.

I know racechick used to wish that someone would slice it off, although rather jokingly. Maybe the reason why he celebrates with it is because it nearly was sliced off. Perhaps it's his reminder or it's special to him. Although it was never specified whether it was his right index finger that got sliced. :P

Strangely Im better about him now. maybe the finger is sliced off :hehe: perhaps he just wags a glove. Anyway he seems to thrust it less. He annoyed me most when he did the loony gesture and at silvestone. But maybe we didnt know the whole story there. Mark certainly isnt above playing mind games. Turning point for me was the way he cceptrd the blown engine(and what looked at that time like the championship) at Korea.
