Wow me thinks you are expecting way too much of any new team but hey if thats your opinion then sobeit although it is not reality.

Thing is tex, HRT have done considerably worse than the other new teams.

They've finished races with both cars when the other new teams haven't. They lack money, but they've got a toe in the door that hopefully they can turn into a successful partnership.

It's only my opinion, but I'd rather see more competition on the grid than less.

What I was alluding to was I think its probable some of the other candidates would have done better than HRT, they seem to have a pretty reliable car, I think its a good base. They just have a complete lack of money to actually, do stuff.

It's a shame this toyota deal didn't work out, and it seems the problem is once again not enough money.

They did better than USF1. :(

Yeah, but I could argue so did I.

You saw the names listed as candidates, a mess was made of it, Max's political agenda in the first place ,and all the political wrangling that resulted meant they weren't even accepted until ridiculously late, and they didn't actually know the regulations until that got agreed upon.

Next year will be a much fairier test in seeing if they are able to "make the grade".

HRT were something like 6-7 second off the pace by the end of the year? If they go another whole year with no development that going to be more like 10 seconds by this time next year. You could barely even call them mobile chicanes relative to the front runners

Has HRT actually finished 2nd last in the WCC? I read somewhere that Virgin ended up last of all teams, so wondered if HRT got some fluke result somewhere which many people missed?

Yes, I presume Virgin had more DNFs than Hispania, As Surely Virgin would have finished more places ahead if not for the DNF's.

Not bad! Despite all the slagging, those slowmos managed to not end up last!!

I hope this "call for attention" toyota made serves HRT to do things right.

They had similar problems with Dallara, didn't they?

As for how well they did this season, it seems they expected the Dallara car would do better.

For what I've seen in TV they have a very nice team, people from BMW and other teams (former Kubica engineer in BMW is head engineer with them), etc..

Hispania had four 14th place finishes, Virgin had two. :)

I still expect HRT to suffer next year due to the 107% qualifying rule.

Had the rule been in place for the 2010 season, five drivers would have failed to qualify due to the rule: Karun Chandhok (six times), Bruno Senna (four times), Lucas di Grassi (three times), Sakon Yamamoto (three times), and Fernando Alonso (once) :yikes:
